Snack hauls from combini will always be a mixed bag. People tend to just grab a bunch of snacks from different sections without realizing it. The starter ones were young children snacks. A gum machine will keep a small child entertained. Pulling "grapes" from a vine is really fun for them! And "the stick" is actually called that. Umaibo. Yummy stick. Giga cheap and really popular. If anyone wants to know what the texture is, giant puff cheeto. The puffed rice in a carrot is exactly that. Fun packaging though. Gummi candy has been on the rise recently with a lot of character-branded ones coming out with low quality. The ones that Syk really had to chew are from the "tough" genre of gummies. Targeted at "tough" men and women who don't want soft "kid" gummies. Those jelly ones I remember first seeing as Korean imports though. As for the other snacks, it is what it is. Dango is pretty good. The combini dango is pretty mid though. Rice crackers are always solid. The edamame most likely came from the Beer section of snacks. All are recommended with beer of course. The "mochi" that Rae didnt like looked more like Yatsuhashi. Try the ramune one from Kyoto if you ever get a chance.
