The other violinist is Saori Hoshino, she's most known as being half of SoLi with long term Kami Band guitarist ISAO. Guest musicians for SoLi releases include Hideki Harasawa (former Lightbringer and Mardelas drummer), bassist Yusuke Morita and other Kami Band members Takayoshi Ohmura & BOH. She's been playing with Liv Moon since 2022, who are slightly cheesy Japanese symphonic metal/Nightwish type band led by Swedish/Japanese vocalist Akane Liv. Saori effectively plays as 2nd violin in the Jill Strings, which is a nine piece string section they lead for studio sessions and anime concerts. Back in September they played at a concert for composer Yasuharu Takanashi, who's done loads of anime music and is most known for Naruto & Fairy Tail. There they got to meet Ayasa from East of Eden who was also playing, so much Japanese violin talent in one room. With the Tonerico album, ISAO played guitar on tracks 1, 4, 5 & 7 to 10. Track 2 has Jinya from Unlucky Morpheus on guitar (he also played with them live for a mini tour promoting the album alongside ISAO). Track 3 has Satoshi Oka on guitar and track 6 has Yusuke Hiraga (who also wrote the music for that song). Yusuke Morita plays bass on track 2. Four songs on the album had the music written by Saori Hoshino, two tracks were by ISAO and the second track was written by long term Lovebites collaborator (and ex-Lightbringer keys player) Mao.

@react-o-mat You might struggle to find stuff that's just the Jill Strings by themselves, they normally do studio & live soundtrack work as part of larger ensembles. I've mostly found a few behind the scenes clips and group selfies post concert on Jill & Saori's socials.

Apparently violin and cello players tend to like electronic music. I have been a fan of Rena Jones for over 10 years, she is a cello/violin player that also uses a lot of electronica in her music as well (more than this actually) and I know there was an other artist as well that I discovered back then that did this but I forgot her name. I always found that both styles work really well together. That said, this album has a couple of different styles overall, I really like it actually. As far as the other violin player and the project goes, Guitar Andy has posted all the info I knew plus some stuff I wasn't aware of, so I think they covered all questions. I got the SoLi albums after really liking Tonerico. I wouldn't say they are among my favourite albums I bought last year and I don't listen to them often, but they are certainly worth checking out. You can hear that both of them are really talented musicians and the talent in the extra musicians they use is very obvious as well.

“jinXinj” is my favorite song from the album but the other ones are great too. And there is an official MV for the song 🤗

In fact, a violin can shred better than a guitar. :))
