That's the beauty of going away from the popular destinations, not a single tourist in SIGHT! I need to make more of those t-shirts, when I have MONEY :D

It’s beautiful! I wanted to see Nevado de Toluca but it was closed, my friend recommended Valle de Bravo - so happy I went!

I moved from Austin a year ago! Considering different areas in Mexico for a holistic healing house, grow my own fruits and veggies. Curious what you might know about Valle de Bravo. Considering Cuernavaca for a few reasons but open to ideas.
@LukeGeeTravels3 жыл бұрын
@@dalemyers6184 personally, I think Valle de Bravo is greatt, surrounded by nature. The town itself is very charming I loved it surrounded by hills around and a beautiful lake! The lake is a popular weekend destination where people come go hang out, boat. I think it would be a great place to buy a small piece of land. Don’t know much about Cuernavaca other than it’s surrounded by many National Parks which, if you’re into hiking/outdoors could be a draw:)

Five pesos is roughly 25 cents. I pay many times more than that to enter some state parks.
@LukeGeeTravels3 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean! Mexico is all around a great bargain! Great food for, great accomodations all for relative low price (for us with USD)
@centeno22543 жыл бұрын
It's not quite that sellers are trying to rip you off just because you are a tourist in particular. Well, these are barter cultures and rather than a set price, the final price is that point that is what the customer will pay and the seller will agree to sell at. Think of it as that market clearing point where supply meets demand if you remember your freshman economics. The fact that you are a tourist just means you are at a particular disadvantage in the game. So you are disadvantaged by knowledge/experience. However, the. tourist is also advantaged by the fact that s/he comes into the game with a great exchange rate. So no whining. You generally win in the end.
@LukeGeeTravels3 жыл бұрын
No whining at all, you’re correct! My point was that people should understand that you should almost always bargain on souvenirs or other things to get price you’re willing to pay and the seller is willing to agree on! I know that in middle eastern countries, they almost expect you to haggle with them, I enjoy it😁
@samantarosas932 жыл бұрын
@@LukeGeeTravels I agree, I don't think it's good to encourage haggling but I see it as, if you convert it to your currency and it is a fair price, don't haggle because those 20 pesos won't make a huge difference to you but it will to them.
@LukeGeeTravels2 жыл бұрын
@@samantarosas93 I wouldn't haggle over 20 pesos, but a souvenir that someone wanted to charge me say $40 dollars and I end up paying $20. That's just everywhere I go.
