The Valley of The Kings in Luxor was definitely the highlight of our Egypt trip! It was amazing to see how the ancient Kings were played to rest!

It would be so interesting to see the "process" from start to finish...so many questions...I can't imagine this was done free-hand...some of the renderings are so uniform...did they have templates?...🤔

Was any of it translated?...I imagine there aren't too many in our time, that would understand what they mean...🤷🏼

Very amazing and cool that some still had a lot of the paint preserved! !❤️

@dianaheggenstaller5317 there are expertsthat know how to read them. Unfortunately the guides aren't allowedto come in the tombs with you to translate..

Actually, shocked to see King Tut out there like that, wasn't aware they did that to him, but it's all about the $$$$$$.
@WorldFamilyExplorers9 ай бұрын
Kinda sad with him just draped in nothing but a sheet in a glass case.

I don't think King Tut was happy that they disturbed his Tomb...
@DianaTuTu299 ай бұрын
I'm sure he was also not happy they stole his heart!♥️😳
@WorldFamilyExplorers9 ай бұрын
No I don't think so...hope he cursed those who disturbed his tomb! Lol. They should have kept all his treasures and gold mask in the tomb instead of moving them to the cairo museum!

@dianaheggenstaller5317 not cool they did that....Egyptians believethat since the heart is missing he didn'tget to go to the afterlife...😕

I have a question for you...(guess I could Google it😏)...but, was wondering...what did they do with the women/Queens upon their departure from the living?🤔
@WorldFamilyExplorers9 ай бұрын
Their tombs are in the Valley of the Queens! They also have Valley of the Workers and Valley of the Nobles.
@WorldFamilyExplorers9 ай бұрын
At one point in Egyptian history The Queens were burred in the same tomb as the King and some of the Queens had a separate burial tomb layer in history. They had the same mummification process and were buried with their riches to take to the afterlife the same way as their counterparts. There were even periods of time when female Queens ruled as Pharaohs! Not only is there a Valley of the Kings, but there is also a Valley of the Queens for those Queens buried separately! Achient Egyptian society placed high Value on women and honored them very much!
