Also just need to clarify a couple of things, in the last tomb you were in, at the entrance the one you mentioned with the knife is Soblok god of the crocodile 🐊, Horus looks like a bird and Anubis looks like a canine/jackal.

Egypt has some fascinating history, but I could never go anywhere where I’m harassed. Thanks for sharing your experience

Glad you enjoyed! I really hope there will be some sort of standard for tourism in Egypt one day. It's no wonder they rarely receive returning tourists. It's worth the trip, but it's super stressful! 😅😅
@Sayitlikitiz1018 ай бұрын
Tourism is an important source of income for Egypt, yet vlogger after vlogger complains about the same b.s from aggressive Egyptian merchants and scammers, or scamming-merchants, and nothing is done. If they want to bring the tourists back and fix Egypt's reputation, they need to work on controlling this type of behavior. Poverty is making people desperate but tourists are not there to fix poverty, it's not their responsibility.
@s34nTravels8 ай бұрын
Couldn't have said it better myself! 💯 It seems like the solution was to build a New Cairo, rather than fixing the old one

Egypt is the most annoying country I have visited (I have been to 62 countries) in fact I left a few days early taking a total lost on my original flight out to leave days sooner.

They don't need you to visit. They have enough.

actually the grafitti can be interesting. I read a book about the decipherment of hieroglyphics before i visited and as in the book, in the first tomb i noticed the grafitti of Napoleons army who where there in 1798. it just added depth to my experience.. nice video!

wow, that's amazing! We have sone WWI graffiti in the UK (and some other places in Europe), but it's the first time I saw something this old!
@ThrottleAddiction8 ай бұрын
Well that was interesting. I didn't know you could do a tour of the burial chambers like that. Everything is usually focussed on the Giza plateau pyramids.
@s34nTravels8 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! It was really cool! I enjoyed Luxor a lot more than Cairo. I was thinking of skipping it completely after visiting the pyramids, but I'm glad I braved out Egypt even longer!

Maybe you could wear large headsets to seem less approachable in scammy or noisy areas. And if it has 2 way radio, you can communicate with each other. Just be careful in areas with cars in case they are too noise cancelling
@s34nTravels8 ай бұрын
It sounds like a great idea in touristy areas, but the large headsets might be a little bait in impoverished or sketchy areas. It would probably work in the valley of kings though without any problem!

At first I was astonished by the Hieroglyphs of Rameses VII although the money exchange guy spoiled it but Ramseses IV was just incredible! Both the Hieroglyphs and the tomb! My favourite for sure! What an amazing experience. I cannot believe you are both in Egypt. It started in Peru and now look where you are. What’s also astonishing for me is how you don’t have 1 million followers! I think if you throw in a lot of food in your videos in addition to the travel, that can change😅 Keep plugging away… you will slowly and surely gather a solid number of followers and thanks again for this great videos and your hard work😊

It was amazing wasn't it!? I'm glad we paid the extra $3 to see that one! (I did a little sneaky research beforehand to try and find the best combination!) Thank you for the feedback about the food! The cafe here was relentless! You needed to take out a small bank loan to pay for a small sandwich 😅 I'll try and remember to add something in the next few videos! Thank you! We'll be in Peru and Chile again towards the end of the year, so back where it all started! 😊💯

Seti the First is the most spectacular tomb you’ll ever see
@s34nTravels6 ай бұрын
That's what they say! But the price tag is far too high!!! After lots of research, Ramesses V and VI offers a better tomb and for a fraction of the cost!
@eboyle7367Ай бұрын
Totally agree. The 3 “free tombs” you get for your Valley of the Kings entrance fee are good but SETI I is amazing, says she who’s visited it 3 times now. I’ve bought the Luxor pass too gives you entry into the sites including SETI I and Nefertari.

Is it safe to travel to Egypt without a hijab if you are female?
@s34nTravels19 күн бұрын
If you stick to the tourist areas and avoid alleyways, it should be fine. I saw a few guys bothering girls in the daytime, but I wouldn't advise at night or in secluded places. A hijab doesn't really matter, they know what tourists are... I can't say the same for remote villages though

Why is it so quiet?
@s34nTravels8 ай бұрын
I'm not sure. I think it's human instinct to keep quiet when the dead is mentioned. Maybe out of respect. But it's not like there were mummies here or anything
@allenwaters39458 ай бұрын
Not what I meant lol. I'm surprised by the lack of crowds. When I went it was packed everywhere.

One hundred dollars for the car. This is a scam. You should have hired a security guard and asked him to rent you the car
