Why do I block out the Mini-Map with annotations for Sub battle replays?
I block it out because the Mini-Map gives away who sent in the battle replay. And in most cases whoever sends in the battle replay wins the battle. So I block it to keep it a surprise :D

1 tip, don't use 2 or more catapults on the same unit (with buildings it is fine) because they will shoot at exactly the same place and the second shot won't get any kills

Goblins have half troll marauders which are heavy spear infanty so anti cav

I think I know what was keeping the Goblin player alive when he had no fortresses/military structures left. It's one of the abilities of the Goblin King, he leaves behind a totem that (to my knowledge) counts as a "vital structure", effectively keeping the goblins on life support until his opponents track it down or just get bored and leave.

AND they can leave a totem outside of the map. In which case you have to find it and then try bombard it with catapults.

You can slope (delete) your building, so if the building is getting attacked you get a part of the recources back ;)

It was the Lumber Mills! They might be used for resource gathering but since they create people that can do damage (albeit a tiny amount), they technically still count as troop spawners. If a player spammed a bunch of those tree cutters they could theoretically still win. That’s why the game didn’t end.

ermm the goblins do have spearmen arguably the best spears in the game, the half trolls

+conhor mcquade Half trolls are arguably one of the best units you can have late game especially when upgraded. They can soak more damage than goblins and riders and deal good damage to structures by default.

i think the elves easily are one of the best at late game but spider riders op, at 4k isengard is ridiculously strong, as mordor if you protect attack trolls and catapults they are good too, and dwarves are probably the most versatile

just some pro tips apollo. Don't sit around and build upgrades. Try to stay on the offensive as much as possible. Luckily for you elves didn't know what they were doing. But if they were a good player it would have been a harder fight. Much harder. Also always be training some units at your base and always be upgrading your base. Because if a good force sneaks it's way to an un upgraded base you are screwed. Otherwise good game.

If you know a building will be destroyed - demolish it yourself it returns some of the building cost to you!

good game apollo, I used to play this game a lot when it came out and still play the 1st one often. you do a good job from what IV seen. just remember too set up one or two def's on your fort at the start and add to it as the goes on.

Thats the reason i dont play original bfme 2 and its expansion pack, you should try out Edain Mod is quite cool and changes every faction adding lot of content, and bringing the game mecanics of Bfme 1
