Cincinnati aint that bad. The real G's going to leave you alone. The most you need worry about is the Youngins, teens and Young adult wanabees, wana act like they gangster, like they "bout that life" etc. Them mfs be coming from the Suburbs into the City (actually Cincinnati) and act like they got something to prove, lol... Weirdos got white pickets fences, FATHERS, nice families, went to private schools and all that, just wont admit it. Cuz for what ever reason these Youngins think it cool to be from the city, from the hood, etc, Until they have live it themselves they ah go running back... Us folks from Cincinnati, From the Hood can see right through yall weirdos. All it takes is a Glance , maybe couple questions. Yall be looking lost and dont be on foot by yourselves...

They did the movie "Traffic" DTW too, maybe not right there right there but close... Im a 80's baby so DTW is DTW to me, these youngins be trying divide the ish up. Like when I stayed on sycamore hill in the 90's, it was cool, from top of sycamore (walker St.) to sand Montessori was all the same hood,,, to Me anyway... I was a kid tho. The westside like westwood and pricehill so spread out, I see why mfs talk like that divided, But DTW was cool af back in the day, folks was outside grillin and stuff kids playing like kids, I liked it WAYYYY better before the Gentrification and im a YT boii.... i said that just cuz im saying not many of my YT friends ever lived down there like that.. I remember my Momma moved to right off bank street at one point and my grandma said HELL NO, You staying with ME, up in Pricehill. lol These days IDK tho, NOW if i was lil she might rather have me down there... My grandfather grew up in the west end, he then moved to English woods before starting a family and Buying a house in West Price Hill, He was the Master head electricion at Jergens factory, right there on spring grove, he worked hard to give us all a better life, our parents tho, they aint appreciate his hard work and dedication to them, Like they had a MOTHER AND A GREAT FATHER, most us cousins never even MET our "DADS".. Our parents aint no how good a family they had and aint appreciate stuff... they just couldnt stay out of BS, so they (our grandparents) would try take us grandkids in sometimes. I feel like a lot of Cincinnati folks i know got a similar family story. IDK what it was but a lot of mfs who grew up in the late 60's 70's and early 80's came up Fd up.. I just want to break that cycle man, But i found myself doing BS from time to time, so I still aint got no kids, EXTRACAREFUL NOT TO.!, I just dont want em growing up how I had to , it gets confusing for a child at times having a messed up parent and not knowing the other one etc... AND I was a only kid , n my mom like to party everynight after work and on the weekends,, so i had hella freedom, Long as i went ta school n did my homework and kept the house clean that all that mattered to my moms. ,My granma aint like that neither ,she felt like i needed guidance, Which now as a adult, i know i could have used it... HOWEVER looking back at my younger self id be like hell nah IM GOOD.!!! but it true for sure. A LOT of Kids NEED guidance.! But we ALL could have USED it... IDK what TF wrong with these kids these days, When we was young NOBODY wanted EMEMIES for No reason, like wtf, these mfs think this shyt cool now, WILD.!!!! ANYWAY back on topic, Cincinnati, Lately been coming up in the movie scene.! At least they getting more hip to filming here at least, it has a nice back drop or Visuals if you will, the hood so close to the city (which is slowly getting pushed out), the skyline, the river with the bridges etc. the train yards.. Pretty cool.

Pre-riots 90's Cincinnati was the place to be. Blues Fest, Jazz Fest, Rib Fest, Jammin' on Main. Crazy culture, before Short Vine was gentrified and sterilized it was mobbed with little boutiques where you could find any style represented. I got my first pair of Black Fly's at the Avalon, Setiments, Rock City you could do your laundry and Jam the fuck out at Sudsy Malone's. Bogarts is still one of my favorite places to see live music Caddy's was off the hook. Burbank's was the spot for soul food and BB-Q. I remeber when that 16 yo kid got chased down an alley and shot in the back by some coward ass cop. I miss the Mad Mushroom, the regge shop in the Ludlow Garage, the pet store on the corner of Vine with the aquarium in the basement. RIP Sub Galley, Tavern 277, Wild Duck, Sudsy Malone's, Caddy's Burbanks, Top Cats, Jupiter's, Electra, The Warehouse...

I was born and raised in the east side of Cincinnati Ohio, the Evanston , walnut hill, Norwood area. I lived there till I was 22 and moved to Japan where I have been for 12 years now. It just seems weird to hear people talk about my city and bring up names. They all strike a (good) memory although I haven’t even been back to the states in 12 years !!! I miss America and cincy. But , year dude look like he 22. lol

This area is mostly safe during the day if you ain’t up to no good or part of a crew doing hood shit you’ll be fine to drive through here or even walk down the main streets. I don’t recommend walking through here but during the day you should be fine to take the bus through here most people will look out for you. I spent a lot of time in this area I know it like the back of my hand I never had a problem. The people getting shot and robbed and hurt are usually beef between one crew and another crew over drugs and dumb shit. It’s not normal people minding their own business getting shot and hurt normally. It’s usually always two dudes beefing over something stupid. Most these guys down here on the steeet if you asked directions they would point you straight. Most of them are cool. I don’t recommend you go there but if you have to I’m just saying you’ll be fine but definitely don’t be lacking through there lol I love right down the street from here as I type this
