That was fantastic what Jim played is that swing or jazz.Just been watching Jim videos and to see all the other guys,I'm still trying to play Carl,s O.B.Special it's taking a long,long time, very hard.

Earl Scruggs taught us all how to play the banjo. I hate it that he’s gone, but he’s probably playing in the bluegrass festival in the sky in the heaven choir

Are banjo players just born with it, or can they actually practice enough to be that good?

Practice goes a long way but the right DNA certainly helps. I played and practiced for MANY years but was NEVER this good. I would say at this level, DNA is the major factor.
