I was genuinely just having this same exact realization as I was listening to this song. Wow. I remember listening to this song in the back seat of a car on road trips with some NC headphones on. Disappearing into the feelings it invokes. Now here I am, years later… having gone through so much and become someone so different. Hits you right in the feels.

I first heard this song in 2015, studying for my maths exam in first year of university. This song kept my soul company through school, I literally think of this song when I think of studying. I failed that degree, got kicked out of the university in my final year after fighting to get that degree for 8 years. I had a surgery, lost class mates, lost and regained my faith, learned to let go of the woman I thought I'd marry. I learned to stop resenting my parents because they had harder lives than I do. Through all that I learned to be human, for me and for everyone in my life, this song was in my heart for all of it. I know what I'm worth. I know what every human being is worth. Those years were not a waste... I still feel young. There's still time to make a better future than the one I lost. For my sake and for the sake of my loved ones.

I was on a road trip the first time I heard this song. I took the first leg and drove for 5 hours and listened to my own music. My cousin took over and began to play his music. I closed my eyes but never fully fell asleep while he was at the wheel. I was on the edge of sleep though. After about 2 hours I looked at him to see him doing the extremely slow blink. I said wake up and he laughed and said he needed coffee. After about 45 minutes we came across a McDonald's at about 3:45 in the morning and I was almost passed out because I was so tired. He went in to get a coffee (yes, they were open). This song was playing!!! Imagine being on the verge of drifting off and hearing this song. It was relaxing and exciting at the same time. I loved it. It was beautiful beyond belief to me even though I could really only hear the melody because I was nearly sleep. The next day I forced him to find the song and tell me the name of it. I've been addicted ever since.

+jo84891 I found this while watching someone draw porn. I shit you not. The artist and I have similar tastes in music, so I often listen to the music he plays on the stream. Sure enough, this came on and I was like "Dude, what is this song? I have to go buy this." And that is how I discovered this song. So, yeah. When my kids ask where I get my music that I listen to, I'll either tell them that they'll need to grow a bit older before they can know, or that I got it from someone who draws porn.

I could never remember it. I’m doing so much better now, I’m relaxing in an epsom salt bath with a drink & life is great, I’m reading “The 50th Law” & I read “the alps” in the book & it triggered the memory of this song instantly. I immediately looked it up & I’m here smiling my ass off so happy that I found it again. If you’re going through a tough time, hang in there. It gets better. It did for me anyway.

When I first heard this, I was walking, after last buses, on a Sunday, to a SDA week special event about Prophecy/Daniel. I was invited, and was just starting my first semester of college. Came out of online school, no friends, depressed, and worried who'd I become. I could cry, because I was walking, and worrying how to get home. Settling to get a cab. But these lovely, lovely Christians I now call personal friends / family, one of them gave me a ride home. And her/my friend was in the car too. My life changed after that night, cos God, my Lord, gave me direction: to Himself. Life is heck of confusing, but this song is special to me, and sad too, cos I was in a bad/painful/confused state in my life. But when I hear this song and reflect, all I see is Jesus. Thank you, Father. Thank you. Really, thank you for this music Vallis Alps. This is one of those love/hate songs indeed. But I feel better even more cos my mom loves this, and shamed me for skipping it in the car one day lol even told me to read the lyrics and pay attention, which i did, and tbh... I went back to listening to it again, w/o pain, but sad appreciation. Cos mom loves it too. And I was saved when I doubted I wouldn't be. Thank you

I played this song in the 8th grade and about 4 years ago I tried to find this song but I couldn’t, finally google has this voice thing where you sing a song to it and it finds it. Anyway I’ve sang it about a dozen times to the voice thing and never found it. It’s 2:09am and I’m sing it abou to sleep so & remembered a few parts like “summer showers spring will lie n winter flowers” any way finally found it! It’s been atleast 2.5 years of looking I think 3-4 years now, feels like such a huge relief. It’s not even that great of a song, just in the fall time it’s nice to vibe to in the chilli weather.

A 100 years later, I'll still be listening to this. I remember listening to this when Vallis Alps was much less popular than now. I've recommended this song to SO MANY people now. :') Feels so good to see them grow like this

Finally stumbled across this song again after years of having forgotten it’s name, only ever remembering the chorus on hot, melancholy Summer evenings. So much has happened since I first heard this-feels like this song truly has captured what’s felt like a lifetime so far, and even the rest of it that’s still ahead of me. Thanks for the good vibes when I needed them most-I love this song more than I realized at first. 😊

[Verse 1: Parissa] Look back To when midnights broke their sleep Awake in our memories Of when we would make believe Collide Colors of the masquerade Watch as they fall away Faceless under faces made [Chorus: Parissa] And weeks went by but felt like hours Spring would lie in summer showers In my hair were winter flowers And weeks went by but felt like hours Seasons multiplying powers That I found in winter flowers [Verse 2: Parissa] Turn back I see rivers beyond the line Ancient roads in broken design Angels running thru our minds Look up Your city's built on marble floors Neon lights in the falling snow Those night back in Tokyo [Chorus: Parissa] [Outro: Parissa] (2x) And we said This has only just begun In the end Time forever favors the young

This song will always remind me of the summer when I met a guy who happened to live across the world. We’d text all night, all day. When we finally met again we spent a beautiful summer together, eating ice cream late at night and holding hands at the museum. We always shared songs in our time apart and this was one we sent each other early on. One morning this came on in the cafe while we had breakfast and it was that moment. I’ll never forget us, it was beautiful.

I remember falling asleep on the plane ride to Washington D.C as our final 8th grade field trip and waking up to this song in the middle of the night looking over at my friends asleep on the plane, thanking God for my great friends, thanking God for all the things I didn't already thank him for that I might have taken for granted in this world. This song is very powerful to me, but it has a very sad vibe, that's why I have to move on because then I get depressed, think deep, and feel lonely. I myself am pretty smart, and thinking too much can be dangerous because you start to feel isolated. Good Song. This is my soul stuff.

I remember playing this song on a loop years ago when I was just 21, lying in a bed in a hostel deep in the mountains of southern New Zealand, when a small (non-threatening) earthquake hit. Being from the north center part of North America, the experience had me feeling like this was something I’d never experienced and likely never would in the same way again. All the while feeling a sense of freedom and loss of innocence while exploring that corner of the world in a way so unfamiliar but so comforting at the same time, with a melancholy and introspective realisation that I would never be that free from responsibilities while still being free to explore that corner of the world alone and uninhibited by expectation. Idk im just rambling on about vibes and experiences but this song rekindles s nostalgia for that feeling that I can never quite get back. And I will love it forever because of that

This and Buzzcut Season by Lorde are the only two songs that make me truly happy. I hear them and feel like I’m living in someone else’s memories, lost in an ethereal world, a different reality. A time and place where I am safe and cared for. It makes me feel things that humans can’t comprehend. It makes me believe that their is some beauty left in the world. I am free for these few minutes.

I ended up falling in love. she moved on. I couldn't coped with how fast she just moved on from me. I remember tears keep filling my eyes as I listened to this on that bus ride. I loved you, S.
