Since childhood I have been hearing of Shri Ram and Ramayan. Every year during Diwali I see the tale of Ram with the Ramleela play. But I have never seen or heard it the way you have done it. The absolutely wonderful narration almost makes me feel like I am part of it, as if I am there... (iti) ha-asa... As/how it happened. :) Kudos to the entire team!!!

I've never come across such an enlightened, elaborate and erudite yet lucid reading of the Ramayana. This series is heavily underrated. If the younger generation of Indians need to be familiarized with this Great Epic, then I seriously doubt if there is any medium better suited for that purpose than this. I have a question, Yashodeep Sir.. Ramayan was known to have great tech advancement, Pushpak vimanas and etc.. At the same time you mentioned that Sage Vishvamitra knew so many mantras and weapons, and at the same time Vishvamitra is known to be very much advanced then how come they walked during their study time? How come they did not use any tool or tech to fasten the travel process. or walking was part of the process? I am confused

From what I understand, Vishvamitra had the 'knowledge' of astras and shastras. Sages of that time had profound knowledge and wisdom, Vishwamitra was the best. The vimanas were owned by extremely wealthy people like kings. Ravana was the king, too. Sages anyway were devoid of materialistic items like a bed, vimana etc. They only lived in ashrams and ran gurukuls. Ram and Lakshman are also travelling light (without any service, luggage etc, being the princes they could have travelled in a chariot or on horses) to respect the sage, stay modest and accept his practices modestly, and consequently, gain wisdom from him.
