VALORANT: How to always be accurate with the Guardian! (From a Guardian main)

As an avid guardian enjoyer, I find the guardian is a great way to practice crosshair placement, movement, and taking your time with your shots. However, in a lot of cases it is easier and better to use a vandal over guardian as it is easier to use in most situations while guardian mostly acts in a situational way similar to snipers. If you can change your play style towards the guardian however it can be very affective.

I'm new to Valo, and it feels so weird to use the Guardian because everything else I've used is automatic, so I've shyed (is that a word?) away from it. The video gives me some confidence in using the Guardian but bad timing because I'm really really loving the Vandal. awesome video

Yes it is a word!. just a tip really try just hit a headshot because especially in higher ranks you will never win a fight ig you have to shoot three times as the vandal will just fight the head quicker

It’s the opposite for me haha. I’m used to non automatic weapons si the vandal and phantom felt so clunky to use when I started out. I was gonna go for judge but realized that too many gunfights or long range. Found great results with the Guardian though

As someone who has 3000+ kills with the guardian, I can say it’s extremely underrated. It has its weaknesses but the guardian can literally out-duel every single other gun in the game with the right skill and discipline. I say it’s probably the third best gun in the game under the phantom and vandal here’s why: It has the highest total damage under the Operator. It also has 0 first shot inaccuracy ADS(meaning it’s perfectly accurate while aiming down sights.) YOU SHOULD NEVER SPAM THE GUARDIAN unless at close range. The guardian is weak against close range but with proper discipline, you can destroy someone at point- blank. In other words, spam if you have to! It’s also weak against most rifles due to fire rate but, again you can just out- aim the opponent. It’s better than the operator due to its fire rate, and better than the marshal due to the same reasons. To sum it up, have good crosshair placement, take long angles, but if you must fight close up, time your shots perfectly. The gun is GOATED and way underrated

When I use guardian I usually use 2 shots the first one is moving my crosshair to the enemy second one is repositioning my crosshair and if a third shot its just the same as the second.

If you want to kill someone quickly at close range with body shots, is it better to do 3 shots at 180bpm or 2 shots rapidly followed by a third shot? Since I find that the first 2 shots are fairly accurate at close range.

The 180bpm shooting is entirely for maintaining accuracy at 30m+. If they're within 10 meters, you'll be accurate enough to still knock shots into the spamming shots. Once you hit your 4th however, you'll def want to wait for your accuracy to reset.

This is very wrong actually. The accuracy+ fire rate is why guardian will beat a vandal. If you bait the first op shot as they wait you should just counter strafe and angle and because you can instanly hipfire their head will go straight into your shot

how are u gonna say the only gins that can reliably hit their first shot are the vandal, bulldog and guardian but not the phantom because the phantom is literally more accurate on its first shot than the vandal is.

Good question! It's not because the Phantom *can't*, as much as that you really shouldn't be going for it with the phantom. While it's more accurate, being able to actually tap out a shot one after another is such a tight window that you're wasting the guns best feature of being able to spray and be consistent. The ADS burst of the bulldog and fire rate between shots with the vandal allow you to keep that control without accidentally firing any extra shots.

@@philomentus yeah true although I still wouldn't say the vandal can consistently hit its first shot unless ur adsing, at 50m while hipfiring its accuracy is roughly 55% with perfect crosshair placement. Idk if u were talking about ads or not for the vandal tho so that might be my bad. Although yes it can burst pretty accurately even on hipfire but that isn't the first shot.

@@Frozoken You can make an aggressively valid argument in saying that, because of the average distance on every map (Something I'd have to go and try to find some numbers on), that the vandal's .125 (ADS) first shot accuracy is all you'd ever need. It may be a video for another time!
