@@Xchax3 Calling vals abilities copy and pasted feels disingenuous. imagine making a controller without smokes. . . They're no longer a controller. Each role has an ability they are going to fill. Like Initiators have flashes or some sort of info gathering to help their team onto site and controllers have smokes. To fufill their role. But its the other 2 abilities and ultimate that make them so different. Breach is an absolute menace at making any fight taken unfair while Skye can do this she is not nearly as potent as breach and her util is better for info gathering. Deadlock is very good at locking down sites and straight up killing people as they try to execute while Killjoy can do this her utility is a lot better at controlling important sections of the map she is a lot likely to play for info and stall pushes maybe getting a pick or 2 if possible.If deadlock tried this it wouldn't work given her trips need sound to go off.

The only role that have unique abilities are initiators, the rest are all formulaic... The point is, you can have a character fulfill a role and still be unique (fade and Sova for example)

I literally play val twice a year and every single time I come across cringe. It's definitely a NA thing. It's to the point where I used to play it early, but stopped and started playing very little because everyone was 16-18 either super wannabe edgy, or egirls and eboys doing a vocal fingering match while its 9-8. Either that or insane amounts of sexism. No in between Overwatch had this SOMETIMES in my years of playing but one of them was always mute so you never had to endure the pure liquid cringe going through your ears. I deleted Val because for whatever reason, they decided first shot accuracy shouldn’t be a thing. There is a very real chance at some point in playing the game that you can have your crosshair perfectly on someone’s head and still miss. thanks for not falling in the "cringe people = cringe game". In about 1600 hours on EU servers, i've only had 2 encounters with "deep voice f* boys", both were on spike rush back in the days swift play was not a thing. also I don't remember them being incredible at the game, just average lol. I also got 150ish hours on Mumbai-Singapore-Hongkong (Asia), but same thing; never got e-daters or people that cringe. THAT SAID; as a girl who gives coms through the voice chat, I've definitely had a LOT of encounters with guys asking awkward shit or tried to hit on me. I'd also say half the girls i've ever met on this game were very cringe or extremely toxic, the other half mostly didn't use VC. but the cringe part is just a girl thing, I think. by that I mean when a girl who uses VC meets a girl who uses VC, there's like a tacit agreement that A will protect B reciprocally. it also states girls should be happy and excited when encountering; supporting the other no matter what. that's why a lot of girls in those clips go like "waw mommy". for the toxic bunch of them, my guess is they are simply league players. THAT SAID, Riot made it so you can select servers you want to play in, which, believe me, sieves cringe people away rather efficiently. On EU, you'd want to go with those servers: London > Madrid > Warsaw > Istanbul > Stockholm > Uninstall > Frankfurt > Paris. Avoid Paris like plague, both IRL and in game, you'd rather have 10 ms more than 2 french idiots insulting each other and trolling together all game. Yes I'm french, and yes i've seen what stockholm is capable of. There is a language barrier as soon as you exit London, but coms "reyna mid" are understood, go with text chat for numbers. for more advanced stuff, go with pings and built-in coms. the barrier also helps notice less the toxicity and generally forces you to focus more on what's happening in the game. if that can help anyone struggling with cringe/toxic people on EU.
