Walking or knife out, if you run towards the ult you're still dead. The only reliable way to get through the ult is Omen tp. With Jett dash there is somewhat of a timing, you either get hit once or immediately die

i dont get this at all tbh, its just an init with a different focus to any other current agents. His damage util is still made in a way where it takes skill/fuckups by the enemy to get kills with, just like any other damage util. The only real issue is going to be postplants, which indeed seems like something that riot just cant properly fix (which is honestly just a product of bad map design)

@tony-te7gd i mean im a massive rat in faceit level 10 2800-3200 elo, as well as immo in valorant. im a rat through and through, and ratting definitely works better in high elo. in low elo, people dont know timings and just turn around being paranoid literally anytime, or Check corners 4 people already checked before them just because they dont know where to look at. or, they hide somehwere selling their entire team. in high elo, people know how you're supposed to play the game, they know the timings, etc. meaning if you're a rat, its easier to throw them off by doing stuff which is completely out of the norm. all in all, this character will be seen as op by cardboard level players, while he will see very little play in higher elos due to higher skill ceiling agents with better overall util comps being prefared there.

I definitely think it's a c2 bubble and "shanghai major + vct off-season" recency bias thing. Last year was the esports most successful year yet, with the masters madrid final being the most viewed game up till that point, not factoring in chinese viewership. Speaking of china, around 2 months ago the game surpassed crossfire to be the 2nd most played game in pc cafes, and that was off the back of edg's champs win which riot official numbers put the peak viewership at 9.1 mil (including chinese viewership). Val definitely has its problems both in-game and as an esport (although the latter might have sum of its issues addressed with the new format), but I think the bubble and recency bias I mentioned at the beginning and the fact that the game has settled into the esports landscape now is warping your perception somewhat.

from a relatively high rank player’s perspective,I feel like while they’re adjusting for the high rank players(viper nerf omen nerf…),they also add things that lowers the skill ceiling (smoke fading indicators and agents)to fix all the complaints about the issue of being not friendly for casual players. I can’t remember the last time they added a high skill ceiling character like Yoru, a character that’s not just pressing on few buttons. This character they’re adding is a perfect example of effortless character for newbies that gains to much advantage without putting in any effort. They just want money from both sides of the player base, but that just ended up making the game worse for both sides. This is the start of the downfall ,where it will end up in the same situation as OW rn. They eventually need to decide on making the game towards the competitive side or the casual side, not both.

The lack of possible human error reduces the outplay potentials of the game in general.

@@gonegreen._.8501 confusing but whatever, my point is do you think the viper player with 1000s of hours on her will be more impactful than the brim with 1000s of hours? the answer is yes, she has a much higher skill ceiling. its the same for tejo, a radiant sova main will always outshine a radiant tejo main because his kit is super straightforward, it's not really good compared to breach or sova who do take skill to use effectively, that's why he's just mid like brim, he's not gonna do much to the game's meta, especially if you need to run him in double initiator comps to be good, and even then you'll be lacking flashes or any actually useful initiator util that the others have

this tells me ya'll are low ranked Players. neon was by far the strongest agent ever until recently, universally agreed upon between high ranked lobby players and even the majority of pro players pushing for an immediate nerf. the average neon player went from gold 1 to dia 2 just by playing neon without actually improving at the game, and has now fallen back. you can not have a 100% accuracy full sprint speed demon in a tactictal 5v5 game that heavily relies on timing and crosshair placement with horrible peekers advantage to begin with. even the best neon player in the world flamed riot for a nerf. so yes, not only did she get to the point of prime raze, she was worse by a long shot.

Neon only got buffed in the past 6 -8 months, buff still not even close to prime Jett ,Raze and chamber. Yeah slide is over powered but you still need skill and timings to execute it(not talking about lower ranks ), try sliding into a cypher trip or a breach stun 😂. Last season almost 70% of the game i played had a neon in the opposition very few managed to made a huge impact. Most of them lack discipline since they don't main neon,I can't even count how many times i tapped a neon jumping around aimlessly. Maybe neon had a crazy impact in low elos because they don't get punished for bad plays. In pro Play it's a whole different ball game .they use utility efficiently, everything is calculated beforehand. Execution is precise . If you don't have a counter it's almost impossible to stop a neon.

Look, being very realistic, it's a bit of a CS2 bubble fr lol For those who watched Champions 2024 Seoul, and even last year's VCT, it was a very consistent year overall for the competitive, I say this very realistically. Honestly, it was the coolest edition of the Champions League to watch, even though the calendar was clearly tight and needed to be more flexible. But CS2, on the other hand, remained as influential as ever in E-sports, but in terms of playing the game, the news, it was in such a dull state in general. Not only are cheaters in massive numbers more than other FPS games, but Valve's lack of communication is depressing. When your competitor launches an update of this level, it was expected that you would respond in kind, but there is nothing, just now a BP that has practically replaced operations for who knows how long. This sucks so bad man.

The reason why people are pissed off about the replay system because Riot is lying. It's not a difficult feature to implement, yet every few months we get devs showing off simple bugs and claiming it'll take them months or years to fix them. Valorant mobile launched in china with a fully functional replay system already. The likely truth is that a replay system would reveal that the cheating issue is much worse than Riot wants the playerbase to believe- or can admit to because of their invasive anti-cheat. A big part of the "still no replay system" meme is meant as a reminder from the community to the devs that we don't like being lied to and would prefer transparency and honesty.
