There's definitely a lot of salvageable parts from the medical equipment side! I have a decommissioned table top sterilizer that I will make into a vacuum chamber. Computer power supplies as well are very good and stable source of DC voltages. I used one to replace a broken power supply for our CT scan console, all it needed was 12VDC and we were quoted several hundreds of dollars for a replacement, I simply got one used computer supply off the shelf and its been functioning for stable for many years now. Salvaging parts is also very environmentally friendly, they don't immediately go to waste field and will get a second life! IF we use them :)

Videocards like the one you showed in this video are always handy to have as spare, but also if they are broken, these silent ones with big heatsinks can be usefull. Those big heatsinks can be used in different kinds of DIY electronic projects for cooling voltage regulators, power transistors etc......
