Is it not a good idea to invest in all thematic funds in a specific Portfolio which makes broader fund, because if you look at the portfolio, not at individual fund, this will be more diversified fund that usual funds? All diversified funds have all sectors and all market capitalization.

Personally ur both questions are correct.. Sector funds only if u can time it well if u r really looking for that extra alpha.. And abt ur Nifty50, one pbm is after 3 yrs when u withdraw if market is down u will sell it at loss else anythin less than 8% I would say u have lost time..

Very good Bhandan nifty 100 index Edelweiss nifty next 50 Edelweiss nifty smallcap 250 index Hdfc large midcap index fund Axis nifty 500 50 value fund All have low expense ratio and follows nse index Steady stable most on largecap Should give persistent 13 to 15% return

अभी मेरी उम्र 39+ है, और मैं जब 5th class में था तब से न्यूजपेपर पढ़ रहा हूं, जबसे दैनिक जागरण में इनकी एक फोटो और एक कॉलम हर रविवार को देखते आ रहा हूं। पर उस समय हम शेयर बाजार का पेज आते ही बदल देते थे पेज, पर अब लगता है काश हमने उस समय ही इनके वो कॉलम पढ़े होते तो जो इन्वेस्टमेंट अब शुरू की है वो काफी साल पहले शुरू कर देते।।
