Regarding real estate, depends on the time and the place and if one needs diversity in their portfolio, for e.g. if equity is very highly quoted real estate could be a good option but yes lot of headache involved with the latter, but if the title is clear etc, returns over a long period of time can be significant, diversity can be important

How frequently should we check performance of our mutual funds? What is the approx criteria to say that our fund is not doing well? What should we do if our fund is not doing well? Stop SIP, keep money in same fund for 1yr and then shift to other fund or shift immediately or don't shift?

Sir, what is return of nifty from inception? Because in 1996 it is 1000 and now it is around 11000. Duration about 24 year plz copare this return with PPF or realstate or gold.
