I'm 40, trt changed my life for the positive. I was physically depressed , not mentally. Doctors kept trying to put me on anti depression pills. Finally went to a good doctor who put me on trt. I started to be happier, cloudy mind went away, more motivated, lost a ton of weight, and blood pressure went down..

?! the comon rethoric :"Sure I m on a gear but I work my butt off at the gym!"...It's ludicrous...without the PED those guys could not sustain more than 45 minutes of intense trainning and their muscles could not recover and grow (for at least 99% of people)...Nothing against people taking roids but give us a break and don't tell us like Arnold that the Roids just count for 5% on getting the results and the rest is just hard work and comitment...

@@JohnDoe-dp4kxthe rhetoric is common because it’s true. I get where you’re coming from, truly, but I know a ton of dudes on gear that look natty, or like they don’t even train. You have to be disciplined in diet, training, and sleep when you’re on gear, same as a natty. And if you’re being smart about it and trying to mitigate risk, you’re getting bloods done pre and post cycle, your watching your kidney values, liver values, triglycerides, lipids, blood pressure, red blood cell count, etc. you’re doing cardio every day, managing estrogen, there’s so much more that goes into it than the typical rhetoric of “he is only big cause he takes gear.” Most dudes that look insane, are putting insane amounts of work into it. Would they look the same natty? Of course not. But dudes like Chris would look better natty than 90% of enhanced dudes you see at your local gym. Not trying to be confrontational, just my two cents

@@JohnDoe-dp4kx well not 5% i think more but there's fat power lifters, strong men competitors, Olympic lifters that lack in areas, they all use steroids and are on diets. But, none look as aestetic as Mr. Olympia. The training, knowledge, and diet make the difference. Yeah steroids help a lot but you won't become a pro body builder using and sitting on your butt eating chips and drinking soda everyday.
@briky7126
@briky7126 11 ай бұрын
@@JohnDoe-dp4kxhard work and commitment is absolutely everything. Where you’re getting the notion of gear being the key source here is what’s actually ludicrous. There are plenty of people out here using and take their diet and recovery half assed and guess what? Their results look half assed as well. If gear played such a dramatic role in the world of gym culture we’d all be in the Olympia by now. Gear is not and has never been the biggest key player in bodybuilding. The sooner people understand that the better people will look and feel.

Started TRT in Feb at 52 when my levels were below 100 prescribed by my endocrinologist. Tested my levels on Halloween and my total was 1189, free - 181, SHBG - 34, Estrogen 104, Red and White blood cell count all within range with zero sides. I take 80mg per week and have never felt better. I do eat clean, lift heavy and walk 3 miles per day.....CONSISTANTLY. When done correctly and under a doctor's care, TRT is life changing.

I didn’t wanna pull the trigger on it because I was competitive weightlifting and I’m a pilot but still the time, I didn’t know I could be on TRT and it was approved by the FAA. About a year ago I retired from competitive weightlifting and about 6 months ago I started TRT and Semorelin and holy shit I feel amazing. Much more clear minded, starting to lose weight around the belly, no depression, lifting has been amazing, not to mention my health insurance covers all my TRT treatments, not the peptides though. What really blew me away is, not all health insurances will cover it, yet they’ll cover poisons going into your body to mask the symptoms, and your PC doctors won’t give them to, you because your T fall in the “normal range” but they’re fast to give you antidepressants which I poison. But I do understand why they do it.

I did TRT a few years ago, for insomnia, then I cycled off of it. Since then, I've gotten married and we're trying to have a child, and have been for over a year, but it's incredibly difficult as my spermcount dropped to unregisterable levels. I'm currently taking Clomid to try to bring my natural test back up and hoping for the best. I never thought I wanted kids, but here we are. Do your research. Hearing this podcast reminds of the days I use to compete in bodybuilding (80's, early 90's). There were "underground" books that you could get to help you with acquiring knowledge on steroids, dosages, cycles, types, etc., but it was very difficult to find. It was mostly trial and error or talking to other bodybuilders who used. I remember a magazine back in the day called Muscle Media 2000 that was really good and would talk about steroids, supplements, etc. that was great.

Just look at Vin Diesel between movies from a decade ago. As soon as he was off the juice, all his muscle disappeared within a few weeks and he had a gut. That was crazy to me, since I used to rigorously work out in my early thirties, until having kids, not so much now in my early forties. Yet, I STILL have the majority of the muscle I built in my thirties and it's never "gone away". I've never taken a steroid in my life.

I am 40 now and was on TRT for about 3 years using it subcutaneous every 3 days ~100mg a week total. TRT not only turned my blood to Ragu, it made sleeping difficult, drastically increased my BP and made me mentally unstable. I did the blood dumps ever 9 or weeks or so to mitigate the blood thickening. I was taking Arimidex to lower the estrogen effects of exogenous testosterone. So I was checking all the safety boxes. My advice is be careful its not a cure all and I'd say its over prescribed. Your TRT range is highly subjective so if you don't have an 800 ng/dl or 600 ng/dl Test level thats okay. Do your research and be careful from the TRT clinics they are cash machines for doctors. 💯💯

First time I've seen your pod. And I watch many. Gained a subscriber. You are one of the few that ask all the right questions. I'm 39 years old. Been training consistently for about 11 years , by that I mean usually 5 times a week during that time. Getting harder now slightly I'm getting closer to 40, so more like 4 days a week. When you train that often and for that long you do become in tune with your body. And I have noticed I need more of a mental push to get there now. I am fairly happy with my physice and strength levels. Push myself most sessions whilst being mindfully. Nutrition is key, adequate minerals. I see many young people on test/steroids now. Don't seem to have the mental strength to go at it without untill their 40s. Trt is basically cruising for many now. I have contemplated trt. Had my levels checked and I am near the low end. I'm glad I havnt touched any yet and and still happy with performance and gains albeit getting harder. But then again it should I'm getting older. I plan on holding off on trt for as long as possible. At least untill my 40s.longer if poss. But with the research I've done I believe there will come a time where it will be beneficial health wise to jump on. I think a lot of young people only see hear and read the positives. What they want to hear really. There are so many negatives especially jumping on young. The hard work mental strength commitment and realistic expectations seems to be lacking in these young kinds. No guidence maybe. By the way body building supplement wise I can attest that Creatine does work, is healthy, not just for the muscle but for the brain, and is safe so is worth it. Protein as well but no way near as much as is pushed. One shake a day for me, mixed with flax, honey, olive oil, oats, peanut butter. People don't understand the value of a calorie. If you are overweight in any way do you really think you need more protein because you work out?.. No is the answer. And it can take an hour on the treadmill to burn a packet of crisps. So understand the value of a calorie

Trt is an easy cop out for problems brought on by poor diet and lack of strenuous exercise. Thanks to ultra processed foods, lack of real meat dairy etc and a sedentary lifestyle. Added to that, stress and a lack of sleep.

Sometimes. But an otherwise healthy 45 year old, with a total T level below 200 ng/dl is not going to get into a normal range with altered lifestyle. It is interesting that the worldwide drop in T levels tends to occur in lockstep with the move to service-based economies. So your point on the lack of physical activity has some data behind it. I don't know that we have enough data to pin a tag on processed foods, but my instinct agrees with yours. We just need better data - and a mechanism - to point that finger. That said, there are a ton of known reasons to avoid them. No need to wait.

Maybe. I started with a complete diet change. Already was a 5 day a week gym junky. A friend suggested that first. Meat/veggies-low carb/minimal processed food if any and lots of water/plenty of sleep for 2 years starting at age 32. After not improving same buddy suggested I get my T checked. I put it off and put it off but I just kept feeling run down. Got it done a few times 2 years later and clocked in between 280-320. At age 34 I finally got on TRT after my new Physician explained to me I had the testosterone levels of a 70 year old man lol. I was on it for 2 years and felt so much better after they got it up to the 600-700 range. Ended up moving and had to discontinue for about a year. Went to a Urologist through a referral. Tested again. Back down to low 300s. That was at age 37. I’m now 40. On very low dose of TRT currently 100mg a week, 2 pins of 50mg per week. Sitting roughly 500-600 2 days after pinning. Hemoglobin hasn’t been over 16 yet. For some of us…our balls stop delivering. I feel good though. Work out 6 days a week. Still going with same diet. Very few complaints for being 40 other than I’m not retired. Take care.

I will say to your post. I agree, going with a solid low carb/meat-veggie diet plus exercise is a good route to try first. That being said everything around us has chemicals that disrupt our hormones. I’m sure you can go through a normal household and find-shampoo/deodorant/body wash/hair gel/lotion/cleaning supplies/detergent/dryer sheets…I mean you name it. Scan those products with one of those apps that tell you what chemicals are in them. I would be willing to bet 90% have some negative effect on your hormone and reproduction. When’s the last time you searched your public water you shower in everyday? I have a filter on my shower head and don’t drink tap water. If I actually told friends and family that they would think I’m crazy. But your tap water has chemicals that negatively affect your hormone and reproductive system. We shower/drink/wash our dishes and clothes in it. My point being is these things are around us 24-7. Diet and exercise might not be enough. Long gone are the days of our grandparents and great grandparents where you got your water from a well-grew your own vegetables-bought meat from a local butcher and natural cleaning products.

As a 47-year-old woman, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has significantly restored my vitality and overall well-being, including my drive and motivation. Previously, I was prescribed various medications for anxiety, hypertension, depression, and weight management, all of which proved ineffective. In my frustration, I decided to educate myself extensively on the subject of hormones. The results were nothing short of transformative, akin to winning a substantial prize. I am now free of all medications, my weight is returning to levels reminiscent of my teenage years, and I am flourishing. HRT can be remarkably beneficial for women over the age of 35. It is advisable to have your hormone levels assessed, and for younger women, establishing a hormonal baseline can be invaluable for future health. 💪🏼💖

The most important thing that people need to understand, particularly young people, is that if you don't have the genetic makeup to be a champion body builder, then all the steroids in the world won't help you. It takes a 1 in a million type of person to have the genetic potential of a Ronnie Coleman or a Chris Bumstead, and if you're reading this, chances are it ain't you. So don't even bother with steroids.

@@Stierenkloot I've heard that theory before. Luckily I've used both testosterone (for over 5 years) and clomid so I can make a good comparison. Clomid definitely boosts my libido and energy without raising my blood pressure and hematocrit. Clomid also boosts spermcount, while exogenous testosterone lowers it. Not saying it's for everyone but it could be a viable alternative for testosterone. There are several articles online about this issue.

I was feeling tired after those vaxxes for 18 months and had my test checked, and my doc said I was on the lower end and I asked about trt and he didn’t recommend it however he is a general practitioner and I trust him. Though I’m still curious. But I’m not tired anymore after I bought a sauna.

Most PCM’s try to stay clear. They believe it’s you mentally or it’s part of aging. Some believe you want it cause you heard about it. Go to a specialist and get your T checked.

I'm 55, just started trt a month ago. Why? I had a 150 level. I exercise physically at work, i don't drink, smoke or do any drugs. Eat extremely healthy, no corn syrup, no fast food. No soy. Mostly ribeye n tritip, burgers chicken. Vitamins and various supplements. Seems to be helping already. Fingers crossed. I definitely need a lot more understanding. Couldn't figure out why I was so tired and not growing physically.

I am 60 and starting to feel the same way. I still work out fairly hard but only Like 3 to four times a week plus swimming and walking and super clean diet. I just don’t make any gains anymore and really having a hard time losing my stomach fat. I am thinking I need to get tested as well. But I’m afraid to start for two reasons, one is we want to have a child, wife is 32 and the second is the fear of cancer and this has been fairly well documented

I am 76 now started at 14. 62 years of training. My goal has always been to be fit and maintain an ideal body weight. I weighed 149 when I got out of the Army at age 20 and my weight now is 148. Never did steroids but have been on 100mg/wk of Testosterone for a couple of years. 200 was to high for me. I did try Anavar a few years ago for 2 months. Loved it haha. But don't know where to get anymore or I would try it again. I think its ok for someone my age. Fighting sarcopenia at my age is difficult even with weight training.

Genetics and slow gains were tough to deal with. Despite food technique etc. The gear really took it to the next level with recovery and strength. I don’t have that deflated feeling when natty
