Here in the USA , I believe an aftermarket valve cover gasket that is quality is FEL-PRO .

I tried Fel-pro and it still leaked. Maybe I'll try their silicone lineup.

@@DIYAutoworksNG Yes , it seems that silicone valve covers are the chosen ones . And of course to torque the bolts / nuts to the correct foot lbs .

​@@DIYAutoworksNGdear friend ... I was going to say Fel - Pro and their Euro brand Payen. for the classic Brit cars I service OEM is cork and made by Payen. I've not had good luck w their silicone so I stick to cork and good old Permatex sealant.

For my car from Proton Malaysia, honestly aftermarket gaskets that are made with silicone are better. I've had it changed since 2020, and it's dry down there. I remember overpaying for the OEM gasket and oh, it leaked after 6 months. Not poor workmanship, I just think it's because it's basic rubber with an overpriced OE tax.

I have those feel pro on my crv 2005, when installing them I did notice they didn't look as high quality as the OEM, I have yet to see if they leak, only time will tell.

I only use genuine parts on my cars been caught out in the past with aftermarket. Not worth the risk IMO.

i swear by felpro. For example bmw uses mahle but thet always leak. Replace with felpro and no issues.

Interesting. Not sure why my experience with Fel-pro didn't go well, when I noticed the leak, I removed the cover again, removed the sealant, redid everything, but it still leaked. Maybe I got a bad batch. Once I put the OEM, problem solved. This was on the 7th Gen Accord.

Could be motor mounts, could also be the transmission. I'd start by inspecting the motor mounts for wear.

I believe you mean the PCV valve. That's one part I replace and clean on a schedule. Also, if it's a PCV valve issue, even an OEM valve cover gasket will leak
