valve lash adjustment on a CB900F engine

Buckets and shims, special tools. Measure, order, wait. A valve adjustment shouldn't be this difficult to perform! But at least parts exist and I have a feeling I'll be faster at it the next time I need to do this maintenance.
Not a step by step but a couple of good tips and if I can do it, you should have no problem!

You should put the numbers under not facing up
