Warning! Valvoline Cost me $3,300 when I had to replace my Oil Pan! They broke my oil pan and tried to install a temporary rubber plug that would get me to my mechanic for a real repair.(3 miles away) That didn't work, the plug came out minutes later and my truck died on the way to the GM certified service Dept. I filed a claim with V.I.O.C. Corporate to be reimbursed for my expense and the claim was Denied! I was told that all repairs/costs would be covered by the Area Manager at first! All that changed when they got the bill that I had to pay out of pocket. I took the GMC straight to a trusted GM certified service center at the dealership where it was purchased new 5yrs earlier. V.I.O.C. would not allow me to choose my own repair service bc/ the cost was too much... "could have been done for a few hundred dollars." according to them. They stripped out the threading in the oil pan completely breaking the plug and the housing. In order to replace the oil pan the transmission had to be dropped to gain access to the pan. Their idea was to have someone hand drill new threads into the broken oil pan by hand. No Way was I going to allow them to further compromise my vehicle any more. Quality Automotive SVC is the Franchisee that controls the local Valvoline's in this area. And It was QualityAuto SVC's decision that led to my claim reimbursement to be denied all bc/ they were wrong about the repair costs and real damages caused. It's been a few months now and every time I call about my claim I'm giving excuses about when I'll be contacted and how the matter will be resolved. They are trying to pass the Buck and Duck the responsibility of the damages they caused. I have filed with the BBB for compensation and re-payment and will continue to review every VIOC in our local area. This is all I can do to tell the truth and give warnings to the public about how I was treated. As of now 07/18/2022 I have been waiting 5 months for a response...

They want us to start using their service checklist (which is in a horrible order) and hand people iPads and make them watch videos on different services. By the way, when using ValLube, change CK2 to CK1 to make your life easier.

First off, safety glasses, gloves, are needed when working topside. Keys should not be worn on the side of pants ever because you can scratch the car. They yelled showtime too soon. The csr should use gemss and vclass. But seriously safety is the number one rule at valvoline, I work at a valvoline, and that's grounds for termination. They should be using a cup or claw for the topside filter. And they should have said clear for hot bay 1. If I were the manager I wouldn't call this a successful oil change, many rules and procedures were wrong with this. I will definitely be showing this video to my area manager to use for orientation to show new hires of what not to do.

Anytime that happens and a customer says they just got it replaced I just say take it back where u got it. Should have a warranty with under a year. They'll double check it for you. If it's my tester. Great. If not better to be safe than sorry. Plus with stores like Walmart a car battery can sit on a shelf and degrade just from being there for ages and ages. If they don't properly rotate stock at least.

Also if it tested as caution you don't need it replaced yet. The pos literally says to just be aware of it, and you may need a new one by your next oil change. Depending on environment a battery can last 1 or 2 years. If you live somewhere that's cold all the time you won't need a new one as often. Your battery basically overwork itself in high heats and tears itself apart. Winter time it can't produce as much electricity because it overworked in the summer. And thqts when they'll start giving you problems. So honestly it sounds about right. Less than a year. Didn't test as bad just as caution. Granted idk exactly what climate your dealing with. And that guy could've been just trying for a sale I won't deny that. For me tho I just like letting my guests know any info I find out for em. Either your battery testing bad. Or a leak. Or if one of your fluids was really low and I recommend flushing it. I just tell em. Just so they know. Do what you will with that info after. I just wanted u to know about it. Granted my sales are trash but I'm honest.

The average rental in the US is roughly $1200, depending on location it could be more or less. You have to make 3x rent to qualify for most rentals. So 1200 x 3 = 3600. Are you following me so far… alright. 3600/4 weeks = 900. That’s $900 per week that you need to have as income. That comes out to $22.50 per hour. Therefor, I would say good money is anywhere from $22.50 and above. And by “good money” I mean enough to survive without struggling. Valvoline foesnt pay $22.50 per hour. The guys I talked to made under $15 per hour. And judging from the 1992 ford ranger the manager pulled up in, I doubt the pay rate goes very high. I’m really sorry that you guys are so against being paid a livable wage. I didn’t mean to offend you and your ‘going nowhere’ mindsets.
