Mm favourite part in the first book is where Chester tries to pound a steak into Bunnicula’s heart... a T-bone steak... and laments that it’s not working while Harold watches him drooling. “It’s supposed to be a sharp steak” “I can taste it and tell you if it’s sharp.”
@fatcoyote26 жыл бұрын
I read these books many times when I was younger. At some point in the series, I believe it's Howliday Inn, Chester is interrogating other animals, and when he gets to another cat, Chester accuses the cat of "plotting something." The cat fires back with, "I'm a cat. We're always plotting something," and since both Chester & Harold can't argue with the logic, they both drop it.

Bunnicula was almost certainly the first "real" book series I ever read, and I'm thankful to be reminded that I probably owe Mr. Howe more than I realized. Especially looking back on my recently completed online comic, Zebra Girl, which featured no actual zebras but many, many rabbits and vampires.

The legends go if you have squash that you left in the fields too long past picking time (or pumpkins kept past Christmas) they will in fact become animate and stalk and attack people. Also sometimes a drop of blood is claimed to be seen on them -hence the vampire part.

I was seriously obsessed with these books as a kid. Chester was actually my favorite character, for all his faults I always loved how dramatic and imaginative he was. He's a big part of the reason I became so fascinated with horror and mystery fiction. As far as my favorite book in the series goes it's a tough call, it would probably be either the first or third one.

Bunnicula as well as the Invisible Inc series really helped me through middle school. I've loved this book my ENTIRE life. Literally, I was born in 1982 and Bunnicula was one of the first stories I read. I've read all of them to some extent or other (except the last, which THANK YOU MAVEN now I gotta find it!), and Harold is one of my favorite characters ever. I must have missed this book series somehow, first time I'v heared of it! cool hehe :D Also if you are looking for more potential things to review I could tip you at looking for some foreign Vampire movies, sure a whole lot of crap ones but there are both a bunch of decent ones and atleast really interesting ones aswell. One that I actully like myself but havn't seen you review is "Frostbiten" / "Frostbite" / "FrostBitten" a swedish Vampire movie from 2006, it's a Horror / Comedy movie not to be confused with parody as it takes the vampires and story serrious, but just finds grim dark humour in the envents unfolding, and puts both vampires in main characters / Villains / Monsters & victims all at the same time. Only drawback is as far as I know there is no Dub, only Sub.
