This track is so hypnotic, slightly haunting, melodic and fits her perfectly. Truly one of the best tracks to come out of the lab at Capcom. I especially love the variation they did in Project X Zone games.

@Saturnwalker Actually, Demitri was moreso the "Ryu" while Morrigan was the Ken. At least in gameplay. But in the end, Morrigan became the most reputable DS character while Demitri struggles to get appearances in other games at all.

I'll make it simple for you, there are no characters in Darkstalkers who can truly be considered heroes. The only ones who you can say are morally good enough to come close to being heroes are Felicia and Donovan. Morrigan is an anti-hero. She just wants to play in the human world to escape her responsibilities. Protecting the human world just happens to coincide with her amusement at certain times. Everyone else is either anti-hero, antagonist, or pure hardcore villain.

In terms of darkstalkers cannon. Morrigan is adopted into a powerful demon lord family. Succubi/incubus are a dying race. She likes humans as entertainment so she tends to rather be a sort of “dream eater” humans dreams and aspirations and any attention she gets from human men typically keep her fed. Alcohol like wines, medium rare beef and occasional sweets as shown by Lilith show her preferences in food. Marvel vs Capcom up until MVC:I and Project X Zone / NamcoXCapcom were correct in Morrigan’s depiction. In the Udon comics she did kill men but the men that obsessed over her to have their lives be stolen were questionable chaps in the first place. Even in death, it is said their souls live on as her bat familiars. This is a separate continuity and not cannon to the games. Part of Demitri’s beef with Morrigan stems from that family. Aensland, He fought her old man centuries ago over control of the Makai. So it’s more she is anti hero/ vigilante. Morrigan is selfish but if she finds the adventure entertaining she partner up with humans as it’s a welcome distraction from the dry aristocracy of the Makai households pushing each other to war.
