If you are one of those people who wants to re-install this masterpiece I'd like to recommend two incredible mods that'll give you a whole new experience and extend your play time, these mods being the Clan Quest mod and The Final Nights mod, both are on Moddb.
@kriegmusikkorps87685 жыл бұрын
What does "the final nights" mod do?
@rezandrarizkyirianto-19334 жыл бұрын
@@kriegmusikkorps8768 A bit late, but I'll answer anyways. The Final Nights is essentially a harder mode for the base game, and it also allows you to play as different clans. The clans are Assamite, Salubri, Ba'ali, Samedi, and a few others I forgot, each with it's own new disciplines. It also gives you a lot of new quests and unique dialogues. I'd recommend this mod if you're already bored with the vanilla gameplay. The Clan Quest mod is almost essential for me now. As it's name state, this mod adds unique quests for each clan. But the main highlight of this mod is allowing you to join the Sabbat, complete with your own haven in a new hub (East L.A), a lot of new voice-acted characters, even the ability to diablerize a vampire (Basically stealing another vampire's power). The Sabbat storyline is so well made I might have thought that it's actually a part of the game. And every character in the mod is so well written that it truly enhances the VtM experience. I'm serious, after you buy the game, the first thing you should do is head over to moddb and install this mod. If I'm not mistaken, the mod there also includes the Camarilla edition mod, which gives some essential bugfixes and scrapped features that should be in the game during release
@rezandrarizkyirianto-19334 жыл бұрын
And I might add the Antitribu mod. It allows you to play with yet another roster of clans. Clans that are not playable in vanilla such as the Tzimisce (and the Old Tzimisce), Lasombra, Ravnos, Giovanni, and even the flesh-eating Nagaraja. I've only played with it once but it's actually quite fun. The mod is quite buggy and the development team has gone silent for some time now, but it's worth a try

I wouldn't say "so bad it's good". I'd rather describe it as "so good it's great". The GOG version comes with the fanmade patch (with over a decade's worth of updates), or if you get it on Steam, it's easy to install the patch separately. That way you get rid of a lot of the issues and unfinished feel and you'll see it's one of best and most unique WRPGs ever. And it's a true roleplaying game with the amount and variety of options it gives you.

You're going to want to get one of the unofficial patches. The game was patched up by former devs and dedicated fans so it's playable without any game breaking glitches. So many of these "immersive sims" are coming back with sequels, it might do me good to get their current installments but then again if the bioshock series is anything to go by it doesn't matter but then again again dishonered had a continuous story (sequel and prequel are properly connected) so really was thinking of getting this game and saw this in my notifications.
@lehelisbored5 жыл бұрын
I guess you could say it's an immersive sim, even though that's a bit vague, but I'd rather say it's a true roleplaying game with the complexity of gameplay systems and options it has. It does use the same RP systems from the tabletop games it was based on, after all.

Played this game a few years back after a relatively small KZbin channel praised the hell out of it. I usually don't enjoy playing games from the early 2000's because they feel a bit dated. But, hands down was one of the greatest gems in gaming I played in a long time. Captivating and Immersive are two words I would describe it and the level of choice in the game is pretty damn great. Makes me sad this isn't a game that is universally known by the common gamer because it sure as hell deserves all the praise it can get.

A very good review of a game that has turned out to be one of my all time favourites. So looking forward to the second game.
