Slow and steady, the renovation for our 1989 Ford Coachmen Camper Van named Turtle is coming together. We completed our Upper Cabinets, Plumbing and Propane lines. The upper cabinets not only act as a storage area but also a command center for all of our switches, meters and accessories. We used wood, rattan cane webbing and copper accents for the handles. We also tried our hand at plumbing which worked out really well! (aside from some user error in testing the water system and causing a little waterfall in our van) We used PEX pipes and crimp rings for the fresh water lines along with PVC for the drainage lines. Additionally the propane system was completely overhauled with new lines and the appliances were maintained and tested! This makes Turtle ready for the build out of the kitchen and rest of the cabinets! Stay tuned for updates! Thanks for being a part of our journey :)
