Van Build Vlog #8: Installing Shore Power

Hello friends!
In this video I install a shore power plug in the side of the van so that I'll be able to plug into power at a camp site or regular house power when it's available. I'm excited to get this step done because I'm finally going to take an extended road trip to Vancouver Island and do some scouting for Serendipity's new home ☺️🙏🏽!
This is a very simple project that literally took me a half an hour.....finally a project that took less time than I'd expected 🤪!

Very good. I'm surprised that it was so easy. In addition to be curious about tiny houses, I'm interested in becoming a part-time nomad. Don't think I'm brave enough to do a conversion. I'm thinking more of a tiny camper (Scamp, Meerkat or an Airstream Basecamp). But I look forward to hitting the road again. Good luck on conversion. Looking forward to watching more of your vlogs. Happy travels and tiny house living! BTW, do you use any portable solar power stations such as Bluetti or Jackery? I bought a Jackery 500 in May and love it. Look forward to getting a more powerful one such as a Bluetti 2000

Are there nuts that lock onto the ends of screws, that could be used to prevent theft of the outlet? I was thinking it would be helpful if it could be screwed onto the side of the van from the inside, instead of the outside. How do people keep outside-installed things from getting stolen?
