Breathtaking❤️. I went back a few times to watch the whales and sea lions. I miss the years I lived on the New England coast. We would spend weekends visiting little seaside villages and seaports. Nothing replenishes the soul like the sea. Thank you for sharing.

All due respect, blah, blah, but you waking up is about the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Almost like a kitty-cat, you all stretching/yawning. LOL. That bed setup does look cozy...dark and all snuggled in. And that breakfast burrito looked yummy. What a beautiful area this is. Those pics are great! That driftwood just looks so awesome. You looked almost overwhelmed by the peace/beauty there. Was very sweet, to see you, momentarily at a loss for words. I don't think that happens much. Hahaha. I know pics/video can't possibly do it justice, so if it looks that beautiful on a little MacBook or iPhone screen, watching this, I can only imagine how incredible "real life" must be. I'm glad you were able to get away for a few days and do the whale-watching boat thing. It was funny, even with the company providing pics to everyone, everybody still had their iPhones out snapping/filming. Old habits...I'd be doing the same. I loved this video, Adelina. Just kinda made me smile the whole time.

When the whales came that close to the boat they turn the engines off until they move away. It was amazing.

@@myBIGtinyhouselife I think seeing a big majestic whale in the wild might overwhelm my emotional centered. Haha. There have been places where I’ve seen nature at its fullest (Joshua Tree National Park the Great Smoky Mountains, etc.) and it just absolutely humbled you and reminds you you’re not “all that”, big picture. I’d love to see some whales one day.

It was incredible to have them come so close to the boat. As I'm sure you know, when that happens, the engines are turned off and we float until they move away. 🐋❤️

Yes, such a marvellous experience. I'm always so mesmerized by them. Having engines off is a great practice and also allows you to hear them better!

I’ve had the great honour to kayak along the west coast of the island off Tofino and in around the islands. These giants of the sea occasionally come close to check out what the “crazies” are up to and come within several meters of the boats then surface to give us the once over. It’s an experience of a lifetime.

Just when I was admiring the view at that particular moment and I thought it couldn't get any better, then here you'd go again with another one that topped the previous one!! I must give credit where credit is due, God Almighty and His majesty!! What beauty He created for us to enjoy! Adelina…you were that far north I would have highly recommended taking the ferry to Cormorant Island and going to the Native Cultural Centre in Alert Bay. I believe there is a “campground” on the Island if you need it. My son is an Aquatic Restoration Specialist and is working on bringing back the wild salmon and lives there. He will never return to Ontario. He is in love with the BC Island lifestyle. I would also suggest Mount Cain, the incredible beauty of the deserted beaches on the NW shore and Woss Lake. Btw the Orcas were still there and a humpback came right up to my sons small fishing boat to say “Hi! 👀”

Thank you for sharing your trip with us! It was perfect timing for me as I was just looking back on a cycling trip I took one year ago this week to the San Juan Islands. We went to Orcas Island, San Juan Island, Fidalgo Island and Lopez. We also did a whale watching tour and saw the same whales and sea lions! It is such a beautiful place to let nature soak into your soul. I live in Florida and have lived in Colorado and Iowa. All have there own unique beauty. Iowa is ‘home’ so I am quite fond of the large rolling farmland and beautiful people.

Love the area, so beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. The drift wood and trees were so interesting. It's the only place I've visited and want to go back is Alaska. A wale watching tour we took was phenomenal. Whales completely leaping out of the water, bubble net feeding, seals... plus the beauty of the natural areas. Next time, I want to spend more time in kodiak to go watch the grizzly bears. Glad you had a great trip. Camping is so great for down time, hiking...

I love the little cheese grater :-). Last winter I built a wooden chuck box to contain my camp kitchen (when tenting), so basically looked for miniature versions of everything. Found cute spatulas at Dollarama. Also found that buying a container of various sprinkles from the dollar store was great for storing more spices (with sprinkles dumped obviously).

I have a heater that is tapped into the fuel tank of the van. But when you m plugged in I use a small electric space heater.
