A must upgrade you need is this: A properly rated sleeping bag, anything from -10*c as a minimum, sure run your diesel heater if you wish, you can get a left and right-side sleeping bags and zip them together (they are designed that way)

a sleeping bag is definitely a plus. To date we have not had the diesel heater on at night. We slept well because of the insulation, the goose feather blanket and (in winter) not to mention pajamas ;-)

One upgrade you might consider is a Soto stove, they run on petrol instead of gas. They put out a lot of heat and burn with a pure flame, no soot.

Hi there, nice build. I like a lot of parts you created in small van. One thing caught my eye - gas. You have stored that bottle in open space? I always seen it in sealed container with vent in the bottom so gas can escape down. Rather check that out if you have any leak. Be safe and enjoy touring!

Hi Jakub, sharp eye! ;-) For safety i have a 3gas alarm installed. But besides that, I finished the cabinet for the gas bottle after the van tour was shot. Nowadays it complies with regulations. Happy traveling!

@@vanred_nl I am thinking about a Fiat Ducato because I've heared the motor is stronger than its cousin Peugeot Boxer and Citroel jumper. I think the body is similar to Renault Master. I'm still considering other vans though :)

hej lars, very glad i stumbled across this video - today we got our renault master and can`t wait to start working on our home on wheels. i really like your interieur and the idea that both seats can be swiveled... i checked the link you posted for the swivel seats below, but it seems, that there are no swivel-plates to find on this site... so... may i ask, whether you remember, which swivel plates you used AND if it's possible to swivel the seats with the doors closed?! i saw various videos where swivel plates were installed, but you can only swivel the seats when opening the doors - which makes it a bit unhandy in my opinion -.- thanks for a short reply in advance and best regards from germany :)

Did you need to relocate the handbrake to fit the swivel seats?

Hi! I did not relocate the handbrake, but i replaced it with a lowered handbrake. It's an official Renault handbrake for camper vans. The part number: 8200727562.

What did you do with the hight of the handbreak when turning the drivers seat, did you lower the handbreak?

Hi Hans, we replaced the standard handbrake with a OEM Renault Master handbrake for campers. This handbrake is specially made for campers. The foot is lower and the handle also goes further down than the original handbrake. The Renault part number at the time was 8200727562. The price for the handbrake around 315 euro's.

Hoy! Lovely to see your attention to detail. I love NL. I have a opel movano which is an ex police van. Lovely stealthy unit but probably a little big for NL's restrictions (remembering a ticket I didn't pay from Rotterdam last trip - bad boy!). Could you tell me about your woolen insulation and also about how you installed the poppers for attaching the blackout curtains to the van please? Many thanks N

Hi N, Thank you for your compliment! As insulation I used Isovlas (isovlas.nl). It is a very nice product with good insulating properties in both hot and cold weather. The whole is made vapour-tight with MACLEAN Noppisol aluminum bubble wrap. The curtains are attached to grilles in front of the windows in two ways, namely: push buttons at the top and magnets at the bottom. Part of the push button is in the fabric and the other part is screwed into the grille. I used blind rivet nuts for this. If you need more info, just let me know. Lars
