I'd just decided to try this approach today to make life easier, then came across your video. Looks great. I have 4mm ply so am wondering about gluing a few lengthways strips of ply to stop it drooping between the beams?

Hello, With regret I've had some real life challenges that have required my attention. The van has certainly moved on this the last video...Plus spoiler...It's on the road! - Weather permitting I'll attempt to get some footage done and uploaded in a few days...Thanks for your kind words...

this is why ya run you strapping length wise instead of cross wise better support :) if ya need cross support just put in a support

Thanks for the note. I wanted to keep the roof as light, and as thin as possible. Thus no extra beams to lower the ceiling.

Just as a thought for the ceiling edging, could you just cover std guttering with 4-way stretch fabric to bridge the gap between the ceiling and the van walls? nice and curved and also access to wiring in the future

Thanks, great idea, I follow the practice of sitting back and waiting for inspiration to strike. If it doesn't feel right then I wait until it does. Plus I wasn't sure if I was going to utilise the space for another idea I've been mulling over... ;)

On Amazon as "T5 longer trim panel clips" I had them on my T5, also works exactly on the Sprinter. Be warned you may have to clean up some of the Sprinters holes as some are good, some are tight.
