He DESTROYED his career through his drug habit then went off the scene for a bit then werent the same. I remember it all went down Hill after he made nowhere to run he tried to become a serious actor but failed. Stick to what you've masterded

@@abdulmumin6251 Not true. "Nowhere To Run" was actually a hit. After "Nowhere To Run" he did "Hard Target", "Timecop" and "Street Fighter". Those movies did well especially "Timecop". "Timecop" was a big hit for Van Damme. His career started going down after he did "Sudden Death". "Sudden Death" didn't do well in theaters and his cocaine addiction was out of control. When the year 2000 came all of his movies went straight to dvd. Even Sylvester Stallone's movies are going to straight to dvd and blu ray now. The action stars from the 80's and 90's aren't getting much work now from big Hollywood studios.

Vandamme also fought and defeated sherman bergman by an axe kick ko and he also defeated former karate champion Michael j hemming from England..dida diafat an 11 times world champion in thaiboxning said that vandamme could have easily become a thai champ with six months of proper training that speaks volume about his abilities
