That is an absolutely wonderful and completely functional layout. Not to mention the gorgeous leather - - everything about this is beautiful!

This is stunning; I wish Van der Speck would jump on the hobonichi cover opportunity. This looks stunning.

I love your codex configuration and would like to copy. Could you list what your specifications were when you ordered?

Hi Marisa, I love this video, and have watched it several times. Are you still finding your planner is working out for you? I’m the type of person who uses a separate wallet from my planner, but I just love this setup. I’m a person who also tends to move planners a lot. But a few years ago I tried the weeks and stuck with it for the entire year, so I am wanting to try it out again. Is there anything you would change now about your setup? I’m thinking of design ideas.

Omg I love this idea 💡 I wanted to use my weeks for budgeting almost like a wallet and this is exactly what I want but the price of that cover 😩 hopefully I stick in the weeks long enough to make the splurge

Thanks so much for this! I've been struggling with a very heavy Coach wallet with DIY dividers to hold various types of cash PLUS a my Weeks in a separate leather custom cover. So I am about to order your exact design to get them all into one! Right before the holidays I ordered 25 VDS leather samples and have been pondering leathers and trying all kinds of combinations. In the end, though, I think I'm going with black ostrich (feels so nice!) outside with #6204 (beautiful gray and soft as butter) or maybe the acacia (will confirm with Petra) inside. In the end I decided to go more neutral so I can select from with a wider color selection of the Weeks in the future. So all the other gorgeous colors and combinations are out the window in favor of something that will last and yet have some interest with two different leathers. Anyway, my question is now that you've been using it, is there anything that isn't working or wish you had done differently? I will be using a fountain pen so think I'll go with slightly longer (?wider?) pen loop. And I will want bontex (?) stiffener I think, another question for Petra. But anything else to think about or change? TIA!

I'm glad this helped you!! I'm still using and loving this cover, and the only thing I would change would be to NOT order the short bottom pocket on the right inside panel. I ordered it to simulate the "touch me" pocket layout, and while I like it aesthetically, functionally it's really quite useless. I love everything else!!! I hope you love yours, too!

I'm SO jealous! :) It is now 2020 so I'm curious if the system worked well for you or not. This is exactly what I have designed in my head except with Mega weeks instead of insert for budget part. Do you still love it? If not, how long did it work for you? I could never, at this moment, invest so much but obviously the quality warrants the price. Thank you for your video.

Great idea with this! I love your wallet, but unfortunately its not in my budget. :( However, I do have a weeks for next year. My question is, maybe I missed it, what do you plan to do with the 72 blank pages in the back? I'm still debating on how I want to set up those pages for mine.
@marisascoggins33998 жыл бұрын
I understand - it is a crazy expense. I'm still deciding what to do with those pages, too! I think I'm going to use them for lists - gift ideas, wishlist, books to read, etc. I'd love to know how you decide to use yours!

Hey! I'm thinking of ordering the Van Der Spek in a similar set up, do you find the back pocket ads a ton of bulk? I'm not quite sure if I need it but it seems like a cool feature! Also does the pen loop stretch? It seems small and I use chunky pens sometimes lol. Thank you for the great video!
@marisascoggins33998 жыл бұрын
I absolutely love the back pocket, and surprisingly there is very little bulk! I wish I had shown that in the video better. I also should have mentioned that I ordered my codex with no stiffener at all, not even bontex - I think that helped with the no bulk factor. In regards to the pen loop, it is partially elasticated! So definitely room for chunky pens - my coleto and uni style fit both fit. Thank you for watching and please let me know if you have any other questions!

Marisa, does your planner/cover lie flat for you to write?
@marisascoggins33998 жыл бұрын
Yes! I ordered mine without stiffener or bontex, and I'm not sure if that's why, but it certainly lays flat
