I came down to the comments to see if anybody else had noticed that. I envy him. I can barely do bar chords, there's always a muted string because my finger covers just the exact neck's width and can't press it evenly over the fretboard.
@yaguarete794 жыл бұрын
@@markrogers7304 Yes, that characteristic of Hendrix led me to say he played "embracing" the guitar, and that's why his music had so much feeling in it. (just a crazy poetic theory of mine)

Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate all the support I've gotten from people like yourself over the years. I wouldn't be the player I am today without it. I also appreciate how much you like my technique. When you learn how to play the guitar through Van Halen songs you pick up good techniques early on. Lots of the credit goes to players before me like Ed.

I actually agree haha. The chorus is too heavy. Ah well, most these videos including this one were recorded 3 years ago. Tone ain't too bad for a 15 year old on his own eh? If i find time to make more videos, I'll conjure up an altered setup. ;) Thanks for the comment! Cheers

another point is the finesse that yuou are playing with is great. Letting the pickups do the work, and playing with very little effort is a sign of a great guitar player. not playing too hard, brings out amazing harmonics. Check out Hall and Oat Maneater live in Tokyo, and check out johns amazing little fills that he does AT FULL VOLUME, but only plays with 5% of the total volume. Just amazing.

to anyone that has ever played this... do you get the sense that the lyrics don't fit? It seems like they were kind of overlayed later. Not sure how to explain it except that in the chorus, there are syllables that don't correspond to the chord changes. I never realized it until I tried playing it live with a singer.
@80sguitarplayer7 жыл бұрын
It's very typical to have instruments and or vocals recorded independently of one another.
@AndrewErwin737 жыл бұрын
I have been a recording artist for 20 years... I understand how the studio works. What I was referring to is how the lyrics and the music don't fit one to one... it is only really obvious in the chorus.
