Saw Dave in Dallas Tx and he sounded really good there too. It’s tough to keep singing like that especially at that age. Like Dave says, it’s a perishable skill.

I was there! I was born in 88 so I was too young to have seen VH with Dave prior to this, so it was a big deal for me!

Holy shit, I was at this show right at outer stage rim [I live in Downingtown, PA]...Great seats!! I still have Motorola Razor phone shots of this performance! Idiot me, I didn't wear ear plugs....I'm still deaf from this show! LOL!!! Thanks for posting Mark!

That's sycophantic crap. When I saw them after he fell off the wagon on this tour, me and the guys who came to the show with me would have blown him off the stage with little effort. He looked like a hobo. His solo was a disaster, he could barely play. He owed everyone their money back that night. Part of the reason he got so bad was the enablement by people kissing his ass. No one would ever grab him by his lapels and tell him he's being an asshole, and if they did there'd be some other sycophants lined up to tell him how cool he was while being a drunken asshole. That's how Hollywood enables people like Eddie to destroy themselves. Only his money kept him alive, anyone else in the shape he was in 2006 or so would have died much earlier. That's the sad fact about it.

I have to give it to Dave here for the straight up effort and for sticking to the melody lines. I’ve seen other footage where he’s walked all over the songs and it was horrible and this is a effect example that he can do it. Why he chooses not to at times is disheartening

I would have rather DLR left VH in 85 and never returned, remembering him forever in his stage dominating prime. This is a far cry from the front man I seen in 82 and 84.
