I can only say one thing, the middle and ending solo. I’ve never heard another human being make those sounds come out of a guitar. Actually, he wasn’t a human being. He definitely was from another planet. He was just visiting here making us happy.

This is live ladies and gentlemen! These were times in rock and pop history where a band performed as a band. Often better than on the album. Honest, raw, skilled musicianship. A set of amazing hard working, talented musicians on stage that EARN to be there because of skills and not because of skilled producers and fancy software. The biggest thing I regret being born in 1978 is that I didn’t go to enough live concerts. Too bad!

Being a guitarist myself, I know what EVH was to me. Everyone else here knows what he meant to them. You can throw out all the superlatives you want about The Master, but there is never going to be an argument about his mastery of his chosen art. No else had players around the planet going "What the F is that". From his grin to his fingers Eddie was born to bring us joy through his music, and you can thank whatever god you believe in that he shared his joy with us. ALWAYS # 1. UNPARALLELED.
