Thanx for adding the intro 👍👍he was picking the fast notes and hammering the lower tones with his fretting hand. The dude was on another level R.I.P. King Edward 🎸🎸👑👑❤❤

What I love about this song is Dave’s voice is in perfect harmony with Ed’s guitar. It happens on a lot of their songs but here especially. This is a great song and it’s even better live. Ed really gets into it. Thanks for reacting.

I really appreciate your reactions. You really feel the music, in my opinion. I love this song. It's definitely a fan favorite. Don't try to rank this album until you've heard all of it. There are still some face melters left. Also, you haven't even got to 1984 yet, lol.

That groove after the intro is NASTY! I love this song! Biz I hope you plan on doing "A Different Kind Of Truth" the last studio album VH and Dave would ever record; released in 2012. Do let the haters sway you. It's easily in the Top 5 Dave era albums though I would set it even higher, Edward VH plays like a demon on it. Watch out! Here come the haters.

A fantastic comeback. What other 60-year-olds have the same juice?!
@reallymysterious45205 ай бұрын
If you look at the biggest rock acts of each area Van Halen definitely has their place. Elvis was on top from the late 50s until the Beatles came along in 64 as well as the Stones. 70s was the decade of Zeppelin & Pink Floyd with the Stones still hanging around and Van emerging as a force. VH were kings until Metallica came along with the first of their big 4 albums Ride the Lightning in 1984 and Guns N Roses in 1987 with their huge album Appetite for Destruction
@kraig77775 ай бұрын
And VH was still big enough that their gen of fans still don't recognize Metallica or G n R as being as "great" as Van Halen.

Tough to do but here’s my order from the DLR era. 1. VH 2 2. Fair Warning 3. VH 1 4. Women and Children First 5. Diver Down 6 1984

I agree, this feels like a Summer vibes song. This album was released during my Senior year in High School. So, it has a special feel to it, looking back. "Diver Down is the weakest VH album of the first six IMO. BTW, "Van Halen II" is in my Top 3 Van Halen records. "Van Halen" and "Fair Warning" are the other two...(no particular order)

Favorite VH song. Some of Dave’s best/clever lyrics and define the album imo. “Catch as catch, catch-as-catch-can…” (definition: using any available means or method)

Biz, keep an open mind when you listen to Big Bad Bill. Is there another rock band as wildly versatile as Van Halen? (I don’t think so.) It’s a jazzy swing tune with the brothers’ dad - Jan Van Halen - on clarinet. He was in post-war big bands and carried on playing even after having a couple of fingers chomped off in an accident. Killer track and Dave’s suggestion for the band - and Jan - to cover. Peace!

and despite all the histrionics from the egomaniacal guitarists who comment on a song like this, the best part of the song is OWNED by Roth at the 5:04 mark of this video. Everything in the song is simply a prelude to the self vocalized harmony Roth injects at that point of the song. It's the ultimate pay off that the whole song is driving towards, and Roth delivers it perfectly. God Bless David Lee Roth, because it was NEVER really Van Halen after he left in 1985. A song like this is the proof. Eddie can be noodling around as much as he can and does, but in the end it is Roth who has the most memorable moment of the song.
