It's also Very Good if you have an awesome Home Entertainment Center. Mine is a P.A. and a Subwoofer. Total is 800 watts. Wow. Awesome. JBL 15 inch speakers and a car subwoofer system. Two 15 inch subs and a 12 volt Radio Shack transformer. Ironically. It is way awesome. Beringer 500 watt powered mixer and the 2 15 inch JBL speakers. I've been using it for more than 20 years and no problems. Some stuff is just made good I guess. 😊

It's either a short scale bass or a baritone. Baritone most likely. The neck length is longer on the top guitar. Both baritone or short scale basses are longer than a regular guitar. However the pitch isn't in micheal anthony bass frequencies so I'm going to say it's a baritone.

Amazing how the other guitar parts are not missed at all and sounds way better than the studio version. Ed just took it to another level live as did the whole band. What I noticed immediately when this album came out was how the guitar wasn't in your face like we were used to, but Ed was always searching and inventing.

Say what you want about Van Hagar, but once I pop in 5150 and listen straight through to the end of Balance, I don't feel like I have to skip one song. Every song is enjoyable to listen to from beginning to end. Roth-era though I tend to skip at least a couple of songs each album minus 1984 and Van Halen 1.

I know this is an old thread but just watching a video tonight with baritone guru Mark Lettieri and he mentions this song. According to Mark (and verified by posts by Sterling that I found) it’s a bass on top not a baritone. It’s down an octave from a conventional 6 string. So you were correct Luiz!

I think VH was one of the best live bands. Whether you like the Dave era, swagger and all. Or the Hagar era, perfect singing. You could always count on Mikes great backing vocals. But now I have read that Hagar mentioned that they had to do overdubs on most of this very live recording of Right now. Accpüording to Hagar, Alex was too fast, Eddie’s guitar was badly tuned…so they overdubbed many of the recorded songs.
