I just wish copyright holders were as happy with some upscales. Sometimes, they allow it. Sometimes, it'll just get blocked. On rare occasions, I'll get a copyright strike which expire in 90 days - three of those and KZbin terminates my channel. I'm currently at two so I'm quite nervous to be uploading upscales right now lol

@@joewilliams3919 Truth of the matter is if they can make money on them. I don't even attempt to monetize them as any money should rightfully go to the artist. I do them because I love the music and I'm often unsatisfied with what the record companies offer as "official videos". I don't get paid to do them (although that would be pretty sweet if I did lol) Hey, if you want to buy me a coffee, the link's in the video description 😎

He was HIGH. Always high. I knew him for 4 years too long. He was a drama queen, was a problem in all personal & professional relationships. The only person he got along with was his brother. He was always drunk & high until his Vegas show, when he began a relationship with Janie. He had a bad trip when his coke dealer gave him product laced with meth, he told me. He became hooked on meth, lost the rest of his teeth. I absolutely love his music though, with SH. I saw the band 3 times in high school, one of my favorites.

@@pinkaholic09 you definitely knew him at almost the lowest point in his life, and from what i understand his personal life was filled with just as many high's as Low's and that is common for an alcoholic and drug addicted musician, i remember i think in 2005-2007 there was a guitar world edition i forgot which month which featured him on the cover behind a white backdrop, the person taking the pictures during the photoshoot said Edward looked so bad they had to do airbrush work on the pic just for it to make the cover the original photo was so unflattering, he lived the life of 20 men easily.....he had no regrets upon that death bed,.....

It makes you wonder how things went from what we see in this video, to what would eventually become complete darkness and chaos. It’s alarming to say the least, and much of it could have been prevented had they all just communicated with each other and took the time to hear the other one out But having two brothers in a band that was named after them, plus the booze and the toot… those things have a way of creating an impenetrable barrier that kept much needed conversations from happening. And so the emotions end up becoming bottled up until at least one of them can no longer handle any more causing it to shatter into explosive shards of glass Never would I have thought that Mike was at the center of some awful controversy at this time just a couple of years prior

I will say it a million times, and mean it everytime Being a guitarist myself, I know what EVH was to me. Everyone else here knows what he meant to them. You can throw out all the superlatives you want about The Master, but there is never going to be an argument about his mastery of his chosen art. No else had players around the planet going "What the F is that". From his grin to his fingers Eddie was born to bring us joy through his expression of his art, and you can thank whatever god you believe in that he shared his joy with us. ALWAYS #1 UNPARALLELED. When the master emerged, from the opening chords of you really got me, every player knew the sonic landscape was changed in a way that was unheard of up to that time. Eruption smashed his foot onto your throat daring you to try to emulate him. No one can. There was never anyone like him, and there will never be another, and I miss his artistry.

For sure...I don't think anyone can really argue the fact that EVH and Jimi Hendrix were the two most influential rock guitarists to ever live. They both literally changed the rock guitar landscape for a decade once everyone heard them. Hendrix heavily influenced 70's rock guitar and everyone came out of the woodwork trying to sound like Eddie in the 80's.

EVH was truly one of a kind, it all came so naturally for him. I've been playing guitar since I was 6, I'm now almost 40, but NO ONE can truly replicate what he was doing. Sure, one can learn the songs, the riffs, chords, etc, but it was something in his hands that one immediately says "That's Eddie" when they hear him play... you just can't hear it from anyone else even if he/she is playing the same songs... I hope what I posted makes some sense.

At 2:50 you can hear how important EVH's backing vocals are to the VH sound that so many whine about only Anthony being able to do. When he takes a drag on the cig and it's only MA's vocal, it sounds half as good. The backing vocals in the studio were a combination of ALL of them singing. Including Dave on the early stuff and probably sammy on the later but I'm not a huge sammy fan so I don't know for sure. Not just MA.
