It’s actually southern rock lobster, but yeah, we just call them crays. They don’t need anything added, just boil them fresh, they’re absolutely delicious! Oh, and good luck finding any gourmet places in Sorell…😂

Before exports to the USA in the 50 or 60s, they were always Crayfish. To reduce confusion with the yanks it was changed to lobster. I believe they are still technically crays. Up there with inches feet and pounds. And ferrets per football field. Alive. Haha

How good is tassie cray fish! We caught some in granville harbor, then drove to the top of Mt Huxley and they were still ALIVE. Best seafood ive ever eaten.
