VAN LIFE CONFESSIONS | the reality of van life is that it can be taxing on you to constantly be on the move, planning the next step and being aware of all the correct documentation/visas/etc you require to travel in a van through continents and countries. While most weeks we can take things in stride we've been feeling a little overwhelmed lately by the demand of van life in Europe especially after our van break-in last year and even more so after finding out that we are illegally driving in Spain. We always want to remain transparent with you so this week we share some of these highs and lows.

Zolen I was so impressed with the quality of driving in Spain and never got stopped but had my Intl. DL. Just in case. I wish someone had taught me cambio de centido before I ran all over Madrid! But, I figured it out I was stressing. Thank you God for giving me a great since of direction and maps, signage Is not good. I understand that licensing, insurance registration road tax, etc is extremely expensive which limits private transportation.

I’m headed out on a 100 day 10 country trip in March. I’ve had Intl. drivers permit before, but mostly didn’t find them necessary. I guess I’ll be getting one now. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for the heads up, and sorry you guys had to deal with this.

Great following you and your adventures once more, after Christmas, but alarmed at seeing you taking passengers on board without seatbelts. That’s illegal in UK, and surely the same in Europe. I have to admit. I’ve been following you both for some time now, back to the first build and we’ll under 100k.
