I was not an only child but I have always been very independent and gone camping etc by myself. I have an only child and he has always been as well. He travelled Europe on his own and is currently living in Berlin. I was supposed to be getting on a plane tomorrow to meet him in Portugal and travel to Spain. I’m feeling sad to be missing our trip that I planned in January. 😞 I’m grateful for Drew’s message today because honestly I’m in a funk and need a shift mentally. Well, luvs... that was quite the adventure! Can hardly wait for part 2. These Senior Adventurers never took on anything that challenging. In coming years, when you take our place and become Recliner Babe and her Handsome Prince.....you will treasure all these adventures large and small. We are so lucky to have our memories of our teenage times together..and then .through kids, grandkids and great grands.....with a few less taxing adventures thrown in. Now ....we share their adventures .....and yours, too. Thank you for your loving and caring responses and making the last of our journey so pleasurable. As for us....well, this last adventure was so real ....we need a nap. By the way I was an "only child" .....still am 87 years later. Loved it. Always had cats and dogs....so I got to be the boss.

Wow Brittany, a couple months ago I was interested in how you might rate trail difficulty. Some of your first hikes looked adventurous to me and you had replied with very low numbers of difficulty. I’ve seen why now that these last months you’ve filmed very adventurous hikes only the super fit , training for triathlon should attempt. I really admire how you guys are doing these beautiful hikes in our national parks. Very inspiring. Although I could not achieve these hikes, I could take several months and do the lesser hikes and use that as a plan to get more fit. I love your vlogs so much.

Awe Beverly! Thanks for your appreciation of our vlogs. We hope we didn't throw off the hiking rating scale at all. When we were in Norway a few years back, we realized that the hikes they did and the times they gave were no joking matter. They were extremely intense and you needed every bit of daylight to get some of them completed. Very different to Central America for example. We love both but see how different the perspectives were. We want it to be known that whether it's a walk down the block or a hike up a mountain, a little fresh air and spark of curiosity to explore, is all you need to have a fun time no matter your fitness level. Happy adventures of your own. ❤️

The dr.pepper shortage is because my mother is guzzling them all down. No joke she buys alot for home work stocked up in her basement both vehicles kitchen cabinets and both fridges. I can't talk I'm as bad on mtn.dews and Reese cups. Lol. My favorite childhood shows were Andy Griffith The Walton's Bewitched Alice(Mel's dinner) and never ever forget Gilligan's Island. My sister watched Family Matters ( I think was real name had Steve Erkel) Save by the Bell PippiLongstockings but it was an older movie she had. I don't watch much TV now. I am going to work at 2:15am coming home 4:30 pm so after feeding all (11) the dogs cleaning up them and me eating,I'm in bed to do all over again. The razor yes I have the orange handle one. Love it. Your hike was amazing your honesty well we have similar stories. I'm older than you but finally hit 100 pounds in my 40' s. Yes I'm so proud and I pat my own self on the back Dailey. I'm the 5th of 5 children. Always someone around to do stuff with but for some reason we always had alone time too. My parent traveled with us a lot in the 70's in our '65 Rambler station wagon pulling a tent camper. We went to a lot of the national parks, it was fun exploring with my siblings and they helped shape my love of traveling.

Adventure Thursday on a Tuesday... feels like Christmas in July. Thanks for the treat! Growing up in France, there were a lot of japanese shows on tv. I loved "Attacker You!" ( in French it was called "Jeanne et Serge") about a girl who plays volleyball... and I play volleyball in an amateur league now! in my tweens, I was really into Dr Quinn and the X-files.

I can totally relate to enjoying doing things by myself as an only child ! It is usually rejuvenating for me, and I just did a 2 days camping trip in the pyrenees alone last week. It was a very well indicated and quite touristy trail though, with a refuge near the lake I camped by, so very very safe^^. I would have definitely freaked out on that unexpected hike as well Brittany ! I was actually already nervous with mine cause I'm not hat used to it, especially by myself, and everyone kept telling me "what ? you're on your own ? be careful" but it turned out great. So happy to see you made it back safely. Also, I agree maps.me is such a great app, it really helped me in my travels when I didn't have connection. Thank you for your wonderful vlogs, you really upped your game and we love it !

Wow this was awesome, you both are so strong, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I can't believe that you went separately on such a hard day. Drew! Wow what a hard core bike ride! But Brittany, how could you go on that trail alone. I totally trust God but wow this would be a test of faith for me. I would be freaking out! Bears, mountain lions, falling, or just weirdos out there. I could never, ever do something like that. I gotta give you props for that. God always bless you on your trips

My boyfriend and I are retired so we are together a lot. He's in a senior golf league and I love to go out and walk (especially at the zoo). Having some time apart doing things you enjoy is definitely good for a relationship. 🤗
