Van Life Fails - Is It Really Worth The Hype?!

Talking about the placing of your fan, A friend of mine did a van build a year or two ago. He made the same mistake and wanted to change the place of the fitting. He had kept the piece of metal, that he had cut out of the roof. So in just a few hours he had welted the piece back in, grinded it nice and flat, cut a new hole and placed the fan back in a new position. Just a tip. Keep your metal cutouts. If you live full time in your van, you could hide them behind your pannels. Nice video. Thanks.

Great video! We are always hardest on our own work, and cameras I've learned are very forgiving. One of my big fails has been my storage cabinet area. I built one that was too big and eventually replaced it with a sink area that's too small. Getting ready to rip it all out -- third time's a charm!

I think a big one for most vanlifers is weight most vans are over weight. Very honest video that mate 👍👍

Yes! Most definitely! I’ve been very weight conscious (about the van) 😂 and I still have 400kg roughly to play with!

I think a lot of RV's are probably overweight. We're seeing quite a few 5th wheels with frames that are bending.

Not as many fails as living in a council flat, rent,council tax gas,electric, water etc etc ,for what? To sit in a room and watch youtube on a big telly,no tanks,I'm moving into a van February
