I am enjoying your posts so much. I haven't been watching long, but have been since you sold your big RV and got your van. I have been going back and viewing many of the old posts. I was so excited when I watched Episodes of Planning Your New Life when on Episode 3, May 6, 2016,you said you were in Kentuckiana and then in Georgetown! My husband, Irvin (85) and I, Sandra (75), live in Borden which is about 15 miles from Georgetown. We live on Highway (State Road) 60 close to a campground called Deam's Lake. We are too old to start out now, as you've heard many times before, but I envy your lifestyle. In 1998, we took a month long trip across the US and saw many of the places I had studied. I am a retired music teacher and Irvin is a retired maintenance foreman. I just love watching you two and seeing the places in California and Oregon. Those two states, Washington and Hawaii would complete my US travel. Sorry this is so long, but I was so excited. I know you have made it known, but when do you post? Thank you for your enthusiasm, information, and feeling of acceptance to us all. Sincerely,Sandra and Irvin JacksonSandypam1@hotmail.comBorden, Indiana

I vote for Oregon! Check out McKinley's Marina and RV Resort in Waldport, OR. We stayed 3 nights there in our RV last summer; we also rented a boat and went crabbing! They will even cook 'em up for you at the dock. 3 hour boat rental with crap pots and bait is $90. SOOO much fun, and we caught 10 keepers !! Safe travels !

I miss the Bay Area. I lived in San Carlos, next to Menlo. If you went to Palo Alto on El Camino Real you would see a few RVs parked near Stanford on El Camino. I always wondered how they get to stay there. Palo Alto had a law that cracked on people living in their cars. I think it got changed when they lost their case.

I just stopped in this video to comment bc it was the most recent one.. You guys popped up in my 'recommended videos', the 'Why we downsized'-one. At first I thought to myself, 'this guy and his fking coffee seems a bit naggy' lol ..but after giving ya'll a shot and and watching the next video, I was hooked! I love the channel! Joe's occasional pessimism mixed with Kait's optimism make a good balance. The editing is great; It's literally like I'm watching a HGTV series. So, here I am in the comment section to let you guys know that I'll be starting back at the first video and binge watch my way up to this one. If I had any money to give I'd definitely drop a few bucks in y'alls patreon fund, but all I have to offer is my 2 cents. Keep up the great work guys and look forward to see more videos! Wish you both the best for all your days to come. :)

In 2012 we started our RV'ing adventures with a 36' motorhome. In July 2015 we traded it for a 33' 5th wheel, which we really like but I'm already considering downsizing again. I'm pretty sure I can't talk her into a Class B but there are some small Class C's I've been looking a lot, especially the Thor Citation, Leisure Travel Vans, and a few others built on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis. I know you like your camper van but I'm curious if you researched B+ or Class C's. If so, why did you decide against them? Thanks and love your channel. Always look forward to your next video.
@Weretherussos7 жыл бұрын
We definitely checked out the B+'s (you can see everything we check out here: kzbin.info/aero/PLpqJFyT0tg-JB9qIEcA52iOmWtCYqp0jw ) and liked them, but found they were too big for what we wanted. Our goal was to get something that we could park in a standard parking spot with no problems.

Hi. Enjoying your vlogs!! One suggestion. Since I'm debating between 24' class c and van life, could u let us know a little more about your camp sites. Like the one on beach San Francisco. So if you pay for a camp ground and then you want to go see the sites in a nearby park, do you take than van? Would they give your space to someone else and is it reserved and no one else will get it.? I am thinking about a roadtrek Zion srt. And wondering how I would be able to explore around me and not lose my camping space.
