I love my X1! Just using the presets has been more than enough to meet my needs in 90% of cases. This isn't really much of a drone; it's more like a flying HD camera. But that's what makes it super easy to use. I love that. Slight correction: the HoverAir X1 does not have any kind of obstacle avoidance. What you were seeing there by the tree was simply that if you stop, the drone stops. If you duck, the drone ducks. So, in that way, you can kind of "fake it" to achieve minimal obstacle avoidance, but it's nothing you can rely on. Edit: I concur, the HoverAir X1 is totally worth it.

@@piperreilly97 It's quieter than an actual drone (such as a DJI Mavic series drone) but it's not quiet by any means. It has that same characteristic high-pitched whine as any drone and you can hear it from a distance.

Nice! One thing to point is that at least in California flying drones are prohibited in most if not all paid campgrounds and National Parks, also in a wildfire is absolutely forbidden to fly them as they get in the way of firefighter’s aircraft having to recall the planes and helicopters for safety reasons, a big fat fine possibly jail, this last one should be a no brainer except you’d be surprised how many people do that, preventing firefighters from doing their job safely.

I know you talked about your hair before but not sure if you mentioned how do you keep up the color? I went full time 3 months ago and now swinging back to my home town to get my hair colored. I can’t keep doing this. I am not ready to go gray.

It’s definitely a process. I do have a salon I go to when I see my kids, so every couple months or so. But it is just a glaze at this point, so it’s not difficult for me to just go anywhere and tell them what she uses. It was hardest at first when I went from very dark. I can keep it like this for as long as I want now and whenever I want to go full grey, l can.😝 it is basically all streaked through. I get it, though, I’m not ready for full on grey yet- Such a process ugh!

I think that is the big advantage-you still have to know the rules about any drone, but it basically flies itself.

Because of its size you do not need a license. Of course, you need to abide by the drone use flying rules like any drone. As for how high it flies-it can go as high as 50 feet in bird’s eye view. Hope that helps.😊

The price may vary, but I think there is a sale for it now. Check their website at hoverair.com. The sound is recorded from your phone if you turn the audio function on. The phone will automatically record the sound with a noise reduction algorithm and sync it to the video taken by Hover. I was not recording from the HoverAir in this video. I was just using my normal audio.

Did you get your FAA Airman Certificate for part 107 drone flying? You need to have one to put drone video on KZbin.

According to dronelife.com, the Hover Air X1 drone's lightweight design means it doesn't need to be registered for recreational use. However, all users should check regulations before flying

Anytime someone makes any money from a drone video or even volunteers to held a non-profit by using a drone for free they are flying under part 107 and are required to have an FAA Airman Certificate for drones. Check the KZbin on Pilot Institute and UAV Coach and the FAA Channel. I went through all that not to long ago and earned the certificate.

Actually, 30 minutes of battery time is quite good for a drone that size. To put it into perspective, my son’s radio controlled electric model jet (F-22) is 3 minutes of pure adrenaline!

No, it does it all wirelessly. The drone connects to your phone and then you download the images/video to photos! It’s very easy.💪🏼
