Hello Guys. I would like to say short explanation about Georgian foods. 20:56 it was Called Borano is a hot snack which is no less tasty, but it is lighter by nature. The main ingredients of Borano are braided Adjarian cheese and butter. The cheese is cooked in melted butter in a pot. This dish is well combined with Georgian bread shoti or mchadi.This meal is perfectly complemented by white wine. Borano is often called the Georgian fondue. This high-calorie and very tasty dish will not leave anyone indifferent. Enjoy! Welcome to Georgia always. 20:45 It was SINORI If you prefer cottage cheese, you should try sinori. These are delicate rolls of thin puff pastry with curd filling, melted butter, and garlic. 👍

I did that road two days ago. I didn't know it is in this condition, just like you. Although I have watched your video 2 years ago. Well, my car - a sedan, did it within 5,30 hours - Batumi to the other border. It was raining the whole time, and then I suddenly remembered your video, and came back to watch it again. 2024 the road is still the same. I have 3 meters of snow on the to of the pass, and I was shacking when I got down in the valley. Georgia, I still loved it :)

I survived this travel earlier this year as well! We drove a small rental car and barely made it to the other end with 1 litre petrol to spare - though the car was slightly damaged towards the end. There is a lovely man, Fridoni Papidze, owning the hotel at around 24.54 minutes into the video. He gave us free coffee and petrol and we stayed with his friend for the night before continuing the next day. Also, the truck you show had difficulties getting up the hill the day we were there, so it was parked in the ditch like this purposely to make room on the road - interesting to see its still there. Apologies for not warning you about this road! Im really enjoying your videos

"Oh My Lord" is right!!!! I looked up the definition of road in the Cambridge dictionary and it says, a long hard surface built for vehicles to travel along.....so nothing about being paved, just a hard surface. Like you said, sometimes you just have to go with the flow and what happens, happens. And, at the end of the day, a wonderful person let's you camp on their land and shares some drinks and laughs.....love it! See you in Turkey

Hi Kevin - we worked for 30 years - paid the mortgage off and now rent our house / we also now get money from KZbin but we work about 4 days editing / 2 days filming and one day travelling - but we love this new job and it gives us a new vista as we travel 👍🌺🚐 So there is still work for us - but it is a job we love 🌺🚐

Hello there, Maybe you got lost on the way back, but you recorded the wonderful places we never had the opportunity to see again with the camera. After a tiring journey, you took a super break and ate your delicious Georgian meals. We have witnessed your effort to reach Turkey as if it were your homeland. We saw Marianne, who, despite being very tired, continued to smile at the wheel. We saw some guilt and a lot of joy in Chris, who used google maps to make an effort to get us onto the highway even though it wasn't his fault. We thank you many times that you do not go the same road by bicycle. We are very happy that the season is not yet winter. Towards the end of the video, the smiling people who welcomed you like a mother and father and provided accommodation for your vehicle made us all happy. I had the same situation in Ukraine in 2019 - SAME road condition for kilometers from Lviv to the Romanian border. I drove for more than 24h straight, till I get to Bulgaria. A friend of mine sheltered me near the Bulgarian border.

It's a good thing you have a van. You can just pull over and rest and sleep if you want to. I can't imagine driving that road with a normal car and the stress to make it to the end ...

Unbelievable!! The route can only be described as dirt tracks at best! And more suited to a 4x4!! Marianne has done a great job keeping the van going and NO apparent damage! She must be exhausted! Glad you could stop for the night! Driving at night would be too dangerous!! Good luck and keep safe!

Guys! Make sure you have no toll roads, no ferries, no motor roads options disabled. Google map tends to pick rural roads when these options are active. Also, While google map is good, here we go is way better. Never trust blindly, plan your trip in stages between major cities. This way makes it easier to pick on when things go wrong…

Hey guys I done that road in 2010 on a Honda Africa Twin and it was exactly the same then haha,,,,ended up staying in Wissol for the night before going to Batumi boarder crossing. Your doing just fine keep it up 👍🏻

LOL. Been there done that. I lived in Turkey for four years, and have been on some crazy roads. But I warn you, I just left Uganda after two years there and those driving conditions make Turkey's worst roads a pleasure to be on.
