Here in Scotland and in Scots slang, we have what is also called a moose. In plain English however, it is known as the simple mouse. Hence, the following joke :- A Scottish man walks into a bar in Canada He noticed there is an animal's head hanging on the wall and asked the bartender what animal is it "A moose" replied the bartender "Jesus Christ! How big are the cats here?" Said the Scot. I shall now get my jacket and leave.

Hey, love the vids! The 1000kms on that sign is regarding the plants that are found at the bottom of the gorge. Some of the vegetation at the bottom of that gorge are normally only found 1000kms north in the sub-arctic tundra region. They normally cant survive that far south lol

It's so interesting to me as a Canadian (I'm in BC) seeing you guys so wowed by seeing a bear because simply put, my family has a vacation property in the Cariboo area of BC and I've seen black bears many times in my life, like we literally had one on our deck about 10 feet from our front door just casually sitting there eating the birdseed out of our bird feeder. We also had a neighbour who found a black bear just chilling in their open garage. Oh and then there was the time our dog (a Golden Retriever, so far from actually threatening) bark so much at a young black bear that he scared it up a tree, we all promptly went inside to be safe and just waited till it left the tree and wandered off back into the bush.

A moose was seen wandering downtown Edmonton, Alberta this week. It’s exciting to see the snow capped Rocky Mountains from Calgary this morning, just waiting for you. Morning & evening are the best times to see them. When you get to Banff, there is a summer ski Gondola open at Lake Louise, then a short drive later, you can head north on Highway 93, the Ice fields highway, and all the way to Jasper is the most awesome, spectacular Mountain scenery, including the Icefields Glacier, good road in spring and summer, fill with fuel when leave Banff (or Canmore). There’s an amazing trail guide book available of hikes and walking trails in the Rockies showing distance, time and amenities for each, that you could check off and date when you complete each. A great souvenir of western Canada. In the National Parks in Banff and Jasper signs are bilingual in both national languages, French and English. There are music and cultural festivals, weekly produce markets all across Canada to see and do. Check out Edmonton Folk Festival in August!

My wife are freshly retired, avid RVers, located in Northern Saskatchewan and I have been enjoying your videos very much. Looking at Canada through your eyes is fresh and interesting, and your Ontario videos make us want to head east again. On your next trip to Canada I would suggest deviating a bit from the Trans Canada Highway in Saskatchewan to check out Prince Albert National Park, where you might wake up to see Elk happily munching grass out the window of your camper. Another suggestion for Canadian snacks has got to be Hawkins Cheezies. Enjoy Banff, it's beautiful, cheers.

Just so you know, a thousand kilometers is 621.37 miles, so no, it has to be 1000 meters or 621.37 feet deep. So whoever made the sign made a mistake in the units they used. Low earth orbit is between 160 and 1000 kilometers as a reference.

5:58 mark: The Nipigon Bridge is the Trans-Canada highway choke-point, where there is no other roadway alternative within Canada to get from busy south-east Ontario (and all points east of that) to Thunder Bay (and all points west of that). A few years ago, the new bridge was temporarily shut down over some design and/or construction issues, and that had a major impact on the shipment of goods by road, across Canada.
