Four months have passed now and I'd bet anything that you haven't regretted adopting Lola for even a second. Dogs will teach you the true meaning of "unconditional love" and bring peace to your hearts ... they are the best ! Of course it doesn't hurt that she is one of the most beautiful puppies I have seen in a long time. You can tell how happy and appreciative she is for your love.

Congrats..you will love her so much and vice versa. Remember to have her vet checked for heartworm and if she is clear you will have to give her a monthly heartworm medication. Your little home must get hot so please don't leave her in it unless you have air conditioning or something to keep her cool. Perhaps you should be venting at the people that pay thousands for pedigree dogs that come from Breeders who's only care is making money rather than people who are rehoming animals in need. We have re-homed cats rabitts and dogs from here in the Uk and our latest from Cyprus, where there is a real problem with re-homing and space for unwanted animals.

I'm sure you know all of this but I have to say this anyway.....She is worth it!!! I always tell people, after they get through the "I HATE YOU" stage of raising and training, a young dog especially, it will be awesome!! So no matter what, she is one of your family. If people would try harder during the horrible moments of training a dog they would see how worth it it can be. She will be a great protector since you are traveling. This is a huge plus!! We have three rescues.... well actually abandoned dogs at the house where i live. All three came at different times. A rotty/Shepard mix, a pure german Shepard and a pure boxer. Mine is the rotty/shepard. He goes everywhere with me and sometimes this is an inconvenience as he's not allowed on a lot of hiking trails. Some people are afraid of him as he looks a bit intimidating (he's a total sweetheart) and whatever else. Your new addition will inconvenience you at one time or another but the trade off is immeasurable. Saftey for both of you (i promise your dog is willing to die to protect you), an alarm system, unconditional love. My dog is literally the best thing that has happened to me in my 47yrs of life... and I've lived a pretty good dam life so far. I can't imagine being without him and our household spoils the living shit outta all these dogs. But please do a bit of research to find out shit like grapes and chocolate are poisons to dogs (i knew chocolate but had no clue about grapes) among many other things. I knew you guys were getting that dog the moment you started talking as if you might or might not. It was a done deal, these suckers latch onto your heart and don't let go. Good luck.

My wife and I have been full time living in our sprinter van for a little over 6 months with our yellow lab mix pup and he absolutely loves it!!! I think life on the road is one of the best places for a dog to live and Lola is lucky to get to live a life on the road with rad parents like you guys!!!
