Lol!! I loved this video too! I guess all people can choose how to pronounce the e name of their town, but nope the correct pronunciation would be Valdez! Lol

"EEEEZZZ!" 😆 Such a charming, rugged town! Mental note: needed or not, pop into Mark's garage to say hello and thank them for taking good care of our Chris & Marianne. So right about small town garages, Marianne. I have a theory: there are technicians and there are mechanics. A tech plugs your vehicle into the computer to ask it to tell them what's wrong, a mechanic takes all the symptoms and susses out the root of the issue. ❤️❤️😎👍xx

I'm always amused at the differences in British & American pronunciation of words. For instance, we say the word jalapeno as ˌhäləˈpānyō, and the word fillet as fi-la. The stranger who told you how to say Valdez must have been equally amused. Safe travels, you, two. I enjoy your videos so much!!

Another amazing vlog- very professionally presented as usual. One of the reasons why I’ve followed you for two years is the fact that you respect every place you visit, huge respect for the towns and people and the fact you research the area you’re in. Amazing and so eye opening. I never knew how beautiful Alaska is and amazing. The history is interesting too. Thanks once again; look forward to more great videos xxx

What a fun and lovely villages Valdez seems to be. I have never been to that part of Alaska. I really enjoy Alaska but have only been to that state 4 times and 3 of those visits were pretty much to the cruise ship ports trio of Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. The other places were Talkeetna, Denali National Park, Whittier (not much there other than the dock and apartments for workers), and very briefly, Anchorage. Marks garage station in Valdez is a place I will remember. We may just visit with a van some day!

Absolutely beautiful. The perfect shot of the eagle landing. What a beautiful town and people. Seriously, I’m not sure why someone on Netflix or Natl Geographic has not contacted you to make a series. Much love to you. And Trudy is a beast!
