Thanks. The square pan is called a ridge monkey. I think Tyson is a chihuahua mix. I eat like a vegan, but am not vegan. Maine is beautiful-I’d love to get back there some day!!!

I’m thinking about getting a transit connect for van life and I’m wondering how the air flow is without any windows in the back that pop open. I know you don’t have a max air fan, and I wouldn’t get one either, so does it get stuffy if you have to leave the doors closed? It seems like you are usually places you can open your doors, but I would do a combination of stealth camping and boondocking. Is it enough fresh air at night or in the summers without windows that open in the back?

I have never had issues. When I added the deck, it acted as a sun barrier of sorts. The composite doesn’t absorb the heat and so the metal roof of my van doesn’t get baked by the sun. There are about two inches between the roof and deck and air flows through it which also serves to cool things down. It was not intentional, but I realized it afterwards as a great incidental benefit.

Pine cones are resinous. Some actually require fire to open and therefore they need fire in order to make more trees. Fire is an important part of the landscape.

My late ex father-in-law was in the CCC back in the 30s and helped build most of the beautiful rock buildings and walls there at Petit Jean SP. it’s so wonderful there. I live about 30 miles from the mountain. Maybe one day you’ll come back!

Well my experience with travelling with friends is much different. I have 1 specific friend who has a old converted mini bus but cant drive it properly! She drives it at a little over 20mph 🤦‍♀️ ive been having to stop at theend of every single road and wait for her to catch up,absolute nightmare! It actually ruined my last weekend away as it was none stop and just burnt me out, Ive had to say if she wants to tag along in future she can meet me at the destination! For my own sanity 😂. Why do vegans always try to make vegetables taste like meat and have all kinds of faux meat recipes? I NEVER try to make my meat taste like vegetables. It's disingenuous. I want my meat to taste like meat and my vegetables to taste and look like vegetables.

Good to see you having fun with friends. I follow bunny as well so I know you guys had to have some fun..hehe I have tried the pea protein and I like it but I do not like tvp at all. I made some tacos with it and ended up throwing it away. Lol I am fine without meat though. I miss burgers but I have found plant based burgers to be yummy but I don't have them often. Even the processed vegan food can be bad for you so I try to be mindful of the ingredients when I'm looking. I wanted some Spanish rice today but when I looked at the unnecessary ingredients I decided to make my own. Hehe oh, I made some zipper pouches like the ones in your van you have hanging. I can't wait to decorate the van. I made the same thing except in bigger sizes to cover my packing cubes so they look like pillows.

The first pronunciation was "presque parfait". You earned an A. I taught high school French for a few years due to shortages of language teachers. It was not my favorite subject to teach. Your trip looks like much fun and the tacos looked good too. I retuned to my house yesterday with much to do inside and outside. It's great seeing you with some friends, but eating all that highly processed fake vegan food makes me feel ill. The more processed the food is, the less nutritious the food is.

It is dehydrated so the processing is minimal. With dehydration, the food is still considered 'natural' and 'raw', since it retains most of the nutrients. And, these nutrients, vitamins and minerals get absorbed as easily as in their original state, unlike processed foods. Yes, I’d usually prefer the non dehydrated version. But this and freeze-dried are good alternatives for vanlife to have as occasional nutritious meals.

Good friends, good food, good times! BTW, ‘Petit Jean’ is French for ‘Little John’. There’s a great story of a French woman who disguised herself as a man so she could be near her husband as they explored the Territory of Louisiana. She became known as ‘Petit Jean’.

So good to see you three out doing it again I had hopes of joining you one day got my van almost ready and then I ended up getting rejection with my transplanted lungs so that looks like one part of my bucket list won't get filled but I love watching you three

😂😂😂😂 “I’m afraid its gonna get in my hair” …”No your hair wasn’t facing this way” “I think it’s in my hair I felt something look do you see it, I felt something” 😂😂😂 well that was funny but nothing was ever as funny as when you and bunny tried to put that tent thing up 😂😂😂😂😂😂 and I was shouting to my tv “ No it’s upside down No it’s not right “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂 ….. on a serious note if something flew into my house my van or my hair I would be screaming like the OLD girl that I am. 😂😂😂😂😂 have a great trip all of you ❤️😇❤️ that you tube of the tent was funny ….. you know I have a huge family so there is always always always something funny happening to somebody too especially when we all get together ❤️❤️❤️❤️
