Love a van reck out video. I did a similar thing for my casement boxs but turned it so when you open the side door they are easy to grab rather than climbing in. Your story to being an electrician is similar to mine being a plumber, was thinking of bricklaying Doc says not good for the back. Friends of the family said its hard to get plumbers so i decided to be a plumber 😂.

Great video as always, when I changed my van racking I got some galvanised holding down angle plate to use as the supports for the shelves. Really strong stuff and handy size to buy, found it thinner than wood so could fit an extra shelf.

I used to use a plumber who got round the insurance cost issue by having a trailer for his apprentice. For jobs when the apprentice was by himself, he'd drop off the trailer with all the materials and could take the van off to his own jobs.

Great effort on your part nick and so kind to offer an apprentice a leg up in the trade. Some 12 volt internal lighting on the roof and maybe a rear and side external light over the doors would help the end user. Plus maybe somewhere to charge batteries between jobs. If you do similar again you could make cardboard templetes which would make it easier to cut around complicated bumps and such.

@@NBundyElectrical seeing as you’ve made it to suit your stock trays, maybe it would be a good idea to include some new Stanley stackers for the passenger side racking so all the winner has to do is stock them with what they want. But the drivers side is a bit more universal so anything can go in there

my first van was a electric blue fiat with 250k on it, dpf was blocked so it would go into limp mode every now and then, paid 300 quid for it and cut off the dpf and ragged it about for another 30k before it went pop

Insurance is shit based on your age. Aged 24 it cost me 1.5k to insure a basic ford KA. My insurance has been £300 ish for the last 4 or 5 years, once you break 25 years old it used to drop massively. I think quotes aged 24 and 25 were differing by £700.

@@adamcarter1974 yeah it's absolute horse. The car I paid 1.5k to insure was worth about 700 quid. I know it's about liability to others but jeez. That first year of no claims and going over 25 were the biggest jumps for me. Mind I'm 34 now I'd hope the age crap has change but seems not.
