Brilliant job. So much thought, care and attention, even to the extent of having the carpet pile in the right direction. Now, just pop round and advise me in my workshop and shed 😂. Looking forward to your next upload 🌞

Great job. I need to do this to my van. I didn't see you fix anything to the structure of the van? Why not? I guess the over hanging scribe will do?
@MelbourneAlan Жыл бұрын
looking good. i couldnt trust those tools to stay there. i would put a bungy strap around just to be sure. im supprised you didnt make the side door racking double sided . its wasted space anyway so you may as well use it from the other side
@BradshawJoinery Жыл бұрын
I did think a out double sided but only adapting now. Originally it fitted 2 layers of systainers and worked great...( But couldn't open them either.) If have to rebuild it completely to double side it and I simply don't.have the time. Adding this on was big effort! 😂
@MelbourneAlan Жыл бұрын
@@BradshawJoinery ] i know the pain. im considering re doing my racking but the effort rewuired is hard to find and the benifits are not worth it enough to take a few days off i would take the back off or cut holes in it and then put a piece inside between the shelves half way in
@vanzipper6486 Жыл бұрын
but what has he planned to prevent tipping in the turns for the toolboxes🧐
@BradshawJoinery Жыл бұрын
It's great bud, the carpet pile does the job and the tool boxes take a serious over 50 degree tilt to roll. (they will not roll) only think that can wobble is the table saw and that lip of timber stops it if it does. But again if I sit it that way around the bed is heaviest and it only tilts towards the side of the van. 👍

One shudders to think of the consequences if the van was nicked! However, security is easy - just stick on a sign saying "No tools are left in this van overnight".

Any chance you could do a review/comparison between the festool corded vs cordless extractor? I’m thinking of getting a cordless one but worried about it having enough suction…….p.s I only use it for car cleaning so the suction is important

Another great video. Came just in time as im about to rack out my new van, gave me a few ideas for mine. The screws in the drawer is a great idea. I share your fear of the organiser being open. Thats the sort of thing that happens when you've just finished a job and just want to go home after a long day 😅 do you have link to where you get the Würth screws from? Im guessing you order them in bulk
@BradshawJoinery Жыл бұрын
I buy through a rep on account. I think it's the only way. I would shop around next time. It's difficult to find a supplier that will do every size screw though tbh
@BradshawJoinery Жыл бұрын
The drawer inserts came from B&Q £10 screw organisers. The larger concrete screw ones from eBay but we're pricey
@S.JCarpentry Жыл бұрын
@BradshawJoinery do you just Google a local worth rep? I made an account with them yesterday, but their site is a little herd to navigate. I'm looking for a company where I can bulk orders, though, as I need to start building a stock of screws like yourself.

Watching this again as just about to finish my racking for larger items and rails etc. Did the side door entry for all my l-boxx and a small parts rack to the side. I am pretty IT savvy but have really struggled in getting the hang of sketch up. So I am just going to steal some of your ideas and mix with my own. I need to persevere with sketch up though. It's vital I learn it if I am to expand my business and profitability.

It’s a nice job, but what about the distribution of weight in the van after all seems to be a bit too much weight for one side making driving a bit hazardous
@BradshawJoinery Жыл бұрын
