Van's RV-12 Build: Fuel System

It is important to have a pre filter between the fuel tank and the electric fuel pump. Debris from the fuel tank can lodge in the electric fuel pump and prevent it from functioning. If you read up on the use of that fuel pump, you will find that it is a requirement. My fuel pump failed on a return trip because of debris from the tank. I now have a gascolator between the tank and the fuel pump.

Forget the removeable wings, and put the fuel in the wings where it belongs in the first place. How may 12 pilots are taking the wings off their aircraft? I would be very curious to know. That tank right behind me, is one major reason the 12 is off my list for good!!
